    Avatar Mountains, here I come!
It was a fantastic 4 days tour booked with Yellow Bird/Experience Tibet Travel Agency. Luki from Yellow Bird was in charge to organise it and also was very helpful with flight tickets booking. Our tour guide Jeffrey was very polite and humble man, who has shared with us interesting stories. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends, as Zhangjiajie is a hidden gem and Tianmen Mountains are gorgeous! Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience!🙏🏻🙏🏻

Went during the latter part of National Holiday and was pleasantly surprised that there weren't that many people at all! Leading up to the trip we were being warned by people already that we might not be able to fully enjoy because of the sheer amount of people (think 人山人海) but when we got there it wasn't crowded at all! The National Park is beautiful but it's so big it can be overwhelming at times. There are free shuttles that can take you to different parts of the park which are very easy to find and run pretty regularly, we probably waited a maximum of 10 minutes for a shuttle. We entered through the east gate and took a (free) shuttle to the 10-mile gallery then took another shuttle to yuanjiajie. Ended the day at Tianzi mountain where we took a cable car down then another shuttle back to the east gate. We were able to see everything we wanted to in 1-day! As foreigners, we were worried tickets would sell out due to National Holiday but Kelly (zjjkelly on WeChat) helped us book all our tickets and suggested which routes in the National park to take. Highly recommend the national park and kelly's services!

The place we want to come back to
We spend 5 days there (first rainy day was for a short rest) and advise all the visitors to plan at least 3 days for the national park. Because the weather changes every several hours and it is difficult to predict clouds on the top. One day we spend for the Avatar mountain and Golden stream. We do not use cablecars as the stairs up the hill were in an excellent condition. The reward was a beautiful world of monkeys and a wild forest we observed around. We did not use train service on the way back as it is very slow and there is a good path nearby (without stairs this way). The second day we spent to go through the Golden steam and Oxigen square and then went up to the Village near the cablecar upper station. We think that it is the most breathtaking place in the whole park. The third and fourth days we spent also on the top of mountains near the Oxigen square but many roads and stairs were closed (not under service for a long time or under repairmen). And sometimes we were forced to turn back, having almost gone down to the plain. These days the main accent was given to the Avatar Mountain. However there are many great places, not so famous but not less beautiful. Though much more difficulty to achieve them in the park.

    Enjoying the splendor of Zhangjiajie
Great place to visit, hike and explore. Rock formations, cruises down lakes, hikes, jostling with people, bus rides and must have lots of imagination to visualise the rocks formed by long term.wind erosion. Excellent place to visit. Visitors are generally friendly and helpful. But marred by very poor signage as after you enter the right track there are hardly any diatance markers nor artows pointing to the correct directions or worse no signs, totally diaappear leading to frustrating retracing climb back up many flights of steep and.narrow steps/slopes. In the bus, the recorded message in English do not make sense. There are hardly any park staff or office to seek help when we needed assistamce but only ro encounter rude and impatient workers manning the ticket machines pointing to directions and shouting at us, even when asking politely in Chinese. Since walking in the park is mostly 1-way, when we got to.the South gate and wanted to head back to the East gate we were surprised to be told there was no park bus doing that route but to exit the park and pay to use local transport to get there. Bad planning?

Zhangjiajie is ok. My first day was not good due to overcrowd. Second day is better enjoyed. Be prepared to fight crowds anywhere you go in China.

This is one of the best places to visit if you are in China. The mountains are just incredible, and also the world’s longest elevator which has 326 floors. YOU MUST COME HERE!!! or you have wasted your life
