Not worth it. Spend 2 1/2 hour waiting for my turn. The ride is only 5 minutes. I was squeezed like a sardine in the elevator. Nothing to see. The view from inside elevator is not good neither.

Update on Sunday, 10 March 2024

Bailong Elevator, the world's tallest outdoor elevator, is definitely one of the highlights of our 8D6N Zhangjiajie tour.

This is an amazing creation of human mankind that can lift you up 1000 over meters in a spilt of 1.5mins . This elevator travels from the bottom of the mountain to the peak of the mountain to save your time to walk and track all way up. This provide lots of convenience for many including the walking difficulties or normal adult being able to enjoy the beautiful view of Zhnagjiajie! The midway of the travel can have a view or outside to witness the beauty of the sandstone formation. Long q to go during peak period and of course you have to pay for it as well!

This is definitely a must not miss item. You need to purchase a ticket to ride and the views are spectacular. Tall with window views.

It should read 326 meters, these two elevators much reduces the very high climb & access to the mountains top. There is a shorter elevator ride coming to a platform for this higher one.
Ride it facing out from these glass panels within the lifts, gets you a majestic view when the lifts are in motion. Lets just say the views at the top is picture perfect.

The fastest way to get down from mountain top offering you a never before experience and scenic view. Make sure you get your video recorder ready before entering.

Bailong Elevator is an impressive feat of engineering which carries 50 visitors up to the high area. The 60 yuan price tag is steep but the only other alternative is a miserable steep upward climb. The views from it for the last half of the ride is quite spectacular.

BaiLong Elevator offers amazing views, but only if you are lucky enough to be among the first to enter the elevator and locate yourself of front of the window - otherwise, the only thinks you'll see will be the backs of the people in front of you. It's still worth a try ...

Stuffed in the elevator with 31 people....could not see a thing. Worth it only if you don't want to walk down, but don't expect an experience.

Very expensive one way ticket, would probably chosen the walk down option if time permit for me. Nothing really amazing to be honest, just another high elevator but this time round, found in a big National Park rather than any other cities.
