Park have entry fee and to get to the top of mountain where is the statue of Guanyin have another fee for transportation with option to make several stops along the way. The Park is big and view from Guanyin statue over the city is nice. All the park and statue premises are well maintained and clean. Be prepared to take the stairs up until the top where is the statue... although on the way back found out there was also a bus stop nearer the statue.

National forest park and national geological park with lots of hiking options, gardens (peach, bamboo etc.) and the Buddha as main attraction. Ask before you go on one of the buses which direction, they take different turns sometimes. Great for taking pictures and there's some amazing views as well. We spend roughly 3 hours there but you can easily take a day to visit this attraction!

A beautiful place to visit on the outskirts of foshan city, clean air great exercise and awesome for photos, my wife’s office is very close by so I often go there to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, the statue is a beautiful landmark and the views from the top are great, a must see if your visiting foshan. A real taste of this amazing country China.

The view of the city is stunning, the surroundings of the Guangyin temple are beautiful, you can choose 3 ways to go to the top: cable car nearby Listening Lake, by foot entrance nearby Jianpu East Road portal or by car to the parking right down the temple area.
Enjoy your time and burn incense for multiple purpose (3 each time).
Take a look at middle mountain lake, it's a peaceful atmosphere, if you're lucky they will have a Foshan Lion Dance presentation

I took the 226 bus from Foshan all the way to the foot of the mountain / ticket office. The lady in there spoke English and asked if I wanted to take the scenic car tour. I didn’t. The ticket for the car was ¥70 and the one I got was ¥55. I walked all the way to the top, taking the 700 steps route. It was a heck of a work out and the views on the way to the top were stunning! Once at the top, it was great strolling around, taking pictures, soaking it all in. I decided that I didn’t want to walk all the way back to the bottom so paid ¥20 to take the car back down. Well worth it! I’d definitely suggest this to anybody - it’s just as good as the Buddha in HK, but in the mainland. So if you can’t get across the border just head here instead.

A Good place to hike, take photos and see the surroundings. It is a bit far from everything else and taking a car there isn't cheap but it is definitely scenic and as cool as the Big Buddha in Hong Kong

A word of advise: Not a lot of people speak English in this province so it will be very hard to negotiate anything (i.e fare, spots you eant to go to, etc). Better if you have a guide of some sort.
We went to Xiqiao where there are temples and a huge Buddha on top of the mountain. Nothing much aside from that. If that's what tickles your fancy (and a good cardio workout) then this place will be a great stop for your trip.

I was there mid January 2019 traveling from Guangzhou to the park by public bus. From Guangzhou's Jiaokou station, the bus 251 took 2 hours to get to the park and the cost was 4RMB. There are several entrances to the park and I ended up entering on the West gate, which doesn't go straight to the Budha, I had to walk the mountain uphill as this entrance is on the side of the Budha. The hike was very tiring, but totally worth. Beautiful forest sceneries all the way and the people I found always helped with directions. the Budha was nice, but due to the smog, views weren't clear and I could barely see the city. Since the bus to Guangzhou took so long I ended up not seeing much more of the park, but it was definitely worth it.

We went there for a relaxing break, and glad we chose this place! There are temples, forests, lakes, and interesting museums inside. We were not able to finish seeing 100% of the park, as it is huge. No need to carry too many bottles of drink. You can buy doufuhua (bean curd), vegetarian snacks, instant cup noodles, drinks, and ice cream inside the park. They are spread over the park. You might meet a banana/fruit seller as well. The incense stick is so neat and smells so nice. We bought back for aromatherapy at home. In summer, we recommend you bring a t-shirt just in case you sweat a lot. And mosquito repellent if you are planning to stroll the forest. You can do pre-wedding photoshoot there. Lots of beautiful spots for photo taking.

It is one of the 5A scenic spot in Foshan, 346 meters above sea level, the biggest attraction in the scenic spot is that there is a big Guanyin image;
It is the first bigger copper Guanyin seat in the world. It is 47 meters high, the lotus seat is 14.9 meters high and 36 meters in diameter. There are 60 lotus petals in the upper and lower layers around the rosette.
You can take the bus, Foshan Citybus or rent a car there, Tickets: 70RMB

One day tour is fine. You can get the metro to the GuangFo line and then catch a bus or taxi from there. I recommend getting a ticket for the shuttle when you buy your tickets for the park or you will have a very long way to walk

Hey,
I will be staying in Guangzhou and wanted to go to Xiqiao Mountain. If I take the bus from Fangcun bus station, which bus should I take and I want to return to Zumiao, will there be any bus available? Do I need to purchase the ticket in advance?
Will there be bus ticket counter in Xiqiao to buy and get me back to Zumiao or Ancient Nanfeng Klin?
Thanks!

Hi. I don't know which bus to take from Fangcun bus station, but from Xiqiao to Zumiao you don't need to purchase a ticket in advance. The bus is at the main gate and leaves every 20 minutes for Zumiao.

Hi Mike,
It might be better to take a public bus back to Zumiao or charter a car to bring you around for 8 hours as there does not seem to be taxis back to Zumiao area from Xiqiao mountain or Danzhao area.

Hi everyone,
I can't seem to find any detailed information about how to get here from Foshan by bus. Do any of you know where exactly I can catch one from and which bus number it is?
Thanks!
