Park have entry fee and to get to the top of mountain where is the statue of Guanyin have another fee for transportation with option to make several stops along the way. The Park is big and view from Guanyin statue over the city is nice. All the park and statue premises are well maintained and clean. Be prepared to take the stairs up until the top where is the statue... although on the way back found out there was also a bus stop nearer the statue.

National forest park and national geological park with lots of hiking options, gardens (peach, bamboo etc.) and the Buddha as main attraction. Ask before you go on one of the buses which direction, they take different turns sometimes. Great for taking pictures and there's some amazing views as well. We spend roughly 3 hours there but you can easily take a day to visit this attraction!

The view of the city is stunning, the surroundings of the Guangyin temple are beautiful, you can choose 3 ways to go to the top: cable car nearby Listening Lake, by foot entrance nearby Jianpu East Road portal or by car to the parking right down the temple area.
Enjoy your time and burn incense for multiple purpose (3 each time).
Take a look at middle mountain lake, it's a peaceful atmosphere, if you're lucky they will have a Foshan Lion Dance presentation

It is one of the 5A scenic spot in Foshan, 346 meters above sea level, the biggest attraction in the scenic spot is that there is a big Guanyin image;
It is the first bigger copper Guanyin seat in the world. It is 47 meters high, the lotus seat is 14.9 meters high and 36 meters in diameter. There are 60 lotus petals in the upper and lower layers around the rosette.
You can take the bus, Foshan Citybus or rent a car there, Tickets: 70RMB

This place is amazing! It looks so much better than the photos. If you are in Foshan or even Guangzhou this place is worth going to. It took 3 hours from Guangzhou by metro and bus (Jihua Park then bus 226 all the way to Xiqiao Mountain). The entry fee is 70rmb each. Kids under 1.2m are free. I caught the sight seeing bus and I am so glad I did. It is a huge walk up the mountain and would have taken too long with my five year old. The tickets for the sight seeing bus are 20rmb and 10rmb for kids between 1.2m and 1.5m. Kids under 1.2m are free. There are only a few places to eat so I think it is better to take your own food. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too good today but on a clear day the views would be spectacular! You can even go inside the statue and look around at the carvings and buddha statues. I loved it.

I am writing this to warn all tourists. My mum and I were approached by many private drivers as we walked along the deng shan da dao ( route to mountain). They were persistent and pushy and even tailed us for quite a while. We met one guy who quoted us 40rmb to head up to the guan yin status for which we rejected, then as we walked off he said 20rmb. And we finally gave in. Then as we reached the place, he said 20rmb is to the foot of the mountain and not to top. So we have to pay 40rmb. Along the way he forced us to buy incense which costs like 88rmb! We insisted on not getting the big ones so we paid 68rmb for the smaller ones (still a rip off). Throughout the whole journey he was begging us to hire his car for a few hours and he told us that since we are already paying 40rmb, mind as well pay in total 180rmb. In the end, judging that my mum is old, I gave in to an agreed price of 180rmb. However, when we were done, he said it was 220rmb instead. Well, we decided to take it as a donation for this driver and not to argue. I am writing this so as to warn anyone going to this place or possibly any part of china. There is a tourist vehicle that brings tourist around the mountain at 20rmb available actually at the entrance of mountain. This just taught me a lesson and I hope no one else suffer from the same fate. As for the attraction, its pretty nice apart from the fact that the entrance is a bit steep for china standard.

We were there on the Chinese Year Day. And most visitors are locals, they came to receive blessing from the Goddess of Mercy ( 西樵山南海观音), . The centre of the park is a 61 meters tall bronze Statue of the Goddess Guan Yin, it must be one of the largest in China. The statue is impressive, and is constructed next to a huge temple complex. There are other sites such as caves, pagodas, ancient villages, cable cars in the park, and you could easily a whole day here, The entrance is 70 RMB, and the shuttle cost 20 RMB return, and yes, it is expensive but it WILL save you a lot of leg work.
Yes, be prepared to do a lot of walking, but he effort is well worth it.

Get up early and head to the park! You can catch a bus from Zumaio that will take about 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once there, start your venture by climbing towards the top. Its an easy hike, so don't be intimidated! Beautiful views and temples.

Quite far from Foshan (30-40 minutes with the bus), this is a huge park where to spend the whole day in. The reduced fee for holiday was about 60 RMB but it was definitely worth it. Even if the map they provide you with is not so clear, one can find his way along the area (lot of walking and climbing up stairs included). I recommend having a look at all the places mentioned on the map, since there are many different things to see such as waterfalls and bamboo forests. The main attraction is the big statue at the top of the mountain, where one can have a pleasant look all over the city of Foshan. Such an amazing masterpiece.

Written 10 June 2017
One day tour is fine. You can get the metro to the GuangFo line and then catch a bus or taxi from there. I recommend getting a ticket for the shuttle when you buy your tickets for the park or you will have a very long way to walk

Hello, everybody!how can I get to xiqiao mountains from Guangzhou?
Written 19 April 2017
Hey,
I will be staying in Guangzhou and wanted to go to Xiqiao Mountain. If I take the bus from Fangcun bus station, which bus should I take and I want to return to Zumiao, will there be any bus available? Do I need to purchase the ticket in advance?
Will there be bus ticket counter in Xiqiao to buy and get me back to Zumiao or Ancient Nanfeng Klin?
Thanks!
Written 15 August 2016
Hi. I don't know which bus to take from Fangcun bus station, but from Xiqiao to Zumiao you don't need to purchase a ticket in advance. The bus is at the main gate and leaves every 20 minutes for Zumiao.

Hi Tripadvisor, thanks,
Like to ask :- At Foshan, after visiting Ancestral temple, taxi up to Xiqiao Mountain, Question :- Any taxi back to Foshan / Zumiao metro ?
Appreciate reply.
Written 23 January 2016
Hi Mike,
It might be better to take a public bus back to Zumiao or charter a car to bring you around for 8 hours as there does not seem to be taxis back to Zumiao area from Xiqiao mountain or Danzhao area.

Hi everyone,
I can't seem to find any detailed information about how to get here from Foshan by bus. Do any of you know where exactly I can catch one from and which bus number it is?
Thanks!
