Staying in Marriott hotel which is directly over the road from the Shunfengshan Park in which the Baoling Temple is located. Some of the pics are taken from the hotel. We didn't visit the temple as it was Sunday and there was a huge number of locals on some sort of charity event. We walked the park around the lake.... More

My wife suggested we go here. I'd been to Shunfengshan Park many times but not to Baolin Si which is right at the end of the park. There are a lot of stairs to go up but it's all worth it. The temple is stunning. You can also go on up to the pavilion at the very top which takes... More

We went to this temple on a quiet day. There were huge squares, without any people. Only after a lot of stairs you reach the temple, be aware of this. Maintenance of the buildings is lacking.

I really like visiting this temple, it's centrally located in Shunde and is near Shunfengshan Park which is an absolute treasure. If you go to Shunde put this on your to-do list!

The monks were chanting when I was there and they can be heard over the loud speakers. That created a wonderful atmosphere. The buildings are beautiful and they are alright with picture taking in the temples. I loved that it was perched high enough to overlook the city yet surrounded by green. Good view of the goddess of Mercy on... More

The main pavilion sits against the moutain. As you ascend the steps, you will see a temple gate flanked by two giant, ferocious guardians.

One of the best places to visit in Foshan. Too many steps but it's worth. Beautiful scenery. Although you need to climb a lot of steps and better to get ready for it and choose a nice weather.
