This is nicely developed concept. Area has lot of good restaurants and galleries. I have never seem more western faces in Foshan than in this area.
Great place to have lunch or dinner on one of the nice terraces. Great place for drinks too.

This is a hip attraction in Foshan. Right next to the popular Ancestral Temple, Lingnan Tiandi is a collection of restored Cantonese mansions and new shopping malls. It is now a lively shopping destination with a lovely flea market. Wandering around the narrow alleys is of much fun.

Even when the heat and humidity are at an all time high in Foshan, this location becomes a welcoming oasis. Between the air conditioned shops and trees providing cool shade, this popular location becomes an escape from the bustling city. It is like stepping back in time when things were quieter and simpler. This area promotes Lingnan architecture, the history of martial arts, an authentic winery, a fairy tale wedding house, varied gorgeous retail shops as well as many eateries. Make sure you visit the little pottery and wood carving shops. There is so much to see in this beautiful location, so take your time. There are many little walkways between the buildings, so make sure you don't get lost. If you do, that's ok, find a tea house and relax. Top tip: Many tourist buses stop at this location, so best to visit just after 10h00 when the location is less busy.

This appears to be a planned “tourist area” development where many of the buildings are of traditional Lingnan-style architecture. The area has Western, Guangdong, and Chinese food restaurants, retail stores, hotels, low rise residential facilities and 43 villas, five apartment buildings, twenty-two monuments, and places for entertainment. Major district attractions include Zumiao Temple, Donghua Lane, Wing Chun Hall where students can learn martial arts, 128 traditional Lingnan-style buildings, eight historic alleyways, a Marriage House for marriage celebrations, The Stone Bay Winery and Wine Hotel, and more.
During our walk through the area, we encountered two school groups.
A main entrance to Foshan Lingnan Tiandi is steps away from the Guangfo Metro/Subway Station.
Before I commence my trips, I take a photo of my destination names in both English and Chinese. Then enroute, I’ll ask for directions whenever I am concerned that I might not be going the right way.
Travel Tip re toilets: There are many public, restaurant, and other toilets throughout Guangzhou. However, few supply tissue. Thus, to be safe, always carry an adequate supply of tissue. Most of these toilets are fairly dirty, have water for washing, but supply nothing to dry yourself with.

This area with many old buildings has been well developed as a walking street with various shops, coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The environment is good with lot to see and selfie. Worthy to spend some time to stroll around.

I travel all over the world both on business and for leisure and was surprised to find such a beautiful place in Foshan. It was apparently developed by the same people who did Xintiandi in Shanghai so there are similarities. I was staying nearby so we went there every night for dinner. Great food, quaint buildings and interesting shops. The Christmas lights added to the atmosphere. It’s next to the Ancestral Temple so if you’re not staying in the area, I would suggest a late afternoon visit to the Temple followed by dinner at Lingnan Tiandi.

It's an renovated historical area. Full of restaurants, cafe, handicraft shops. Both western and Chinese. Spacious and big. I went on Sunday which was quite busy. If you go by taxi, better stop at outside area because the traffic is bad on Sunday.

Located just behind the Ancestral Temple, this place has a good chill vibe with a mixture of traditional and modern architecture with shops, restaurants and cafés. Excellent place to chill and relax.
