Nice Farm

Great place for kids. Some items are a little pricey though. We purchased some apple turnovers - they were bland and had small amount of apple in it.

Drove an hour on a Saturday because they advertised apple picking (the site said "No U-pick during the week"). Once there, we were told they did not have any apples left, even though the site stated the types of apples that would be available that week and the next two weeks. An employee said it happens every year. They're selling... More

We drove around an hour to try this pick-your-own orchard after their website advertised honey crisp apples. We arrived to find more apples on the ground than in the trees. Trying to find apples that weren't covered in brown spots was a challenge, and there were no ladders or anything to help you reach the apples that were higher in... More

Got to go with our 4 year old granddaughter and her preschool class. Staff did a great job with the kids, which can be a challenge at that age. Theyhad a story, some play time, and picked berries before getting a slushy. The hayrack to the berry field was fun too. We also really liked the apple cider slushies. I... More

No. Just no. Don't waste your time here. Why? Let me tell you why. First off the "apple cider slushies" were NOT slushy! They were just cold apple cider. Period. No ice, no slush. Don't waste your money on it. It was one of the reasons I wanted to go. Then they make you PAY for a stupid "hay ride"... More

We took our family to go apple picking. We had a great time in the ordchard. We picked a peck of apples (which was the per family limit that day). The kids liked the hayride, and loved gourd patch! Many interesting varieties were planted. We enjoyed a picnic lunch we packed there on the grounds. Lots of activity stations for... More

We were very excited to visit the orchard based on what we saw on the website. We attended the "Fruity Pickin Storytime" for honey bee day. Paid a whopping $8 after a one hour drive from Durham to get there. The positives: * The orchard is nice, clean and orderly. * The staff is very friendly and kind. * The... More

Our large homeschooling group of 60+ visited the orchard in September on a weekday. After a 2 hour drive, the large yard area with tire swings, hills to climb, and a sound activity area were a welcome site to restless little people. We also took that opportunity to have a picnic lunch in the shaded area provided. Restrooms are available... More

Oh my goodness! Where to begin. We drove 3 hours to go apple picking at this farm. When we arrived we were told to pay $3 per person for the privilege of picking apples. Then we were told we had to ride the hay wagons to and from the farm as it was 'dangerous' to walk , and that we... More

We usually visit about 3 times a year to gather peaches and apples. Our favorites are the contender peach and the Honeycrisp apples(They make the best apple sauce!). We all ways love going because the people there knew us by our third visit and they treat you like family, not just another customer. It is a great way to get... More
