Lake Wheeler is beautiful. The park is nicely kept with boat launch, picnic and grill areas, trails, and plenty to do to keep you busy.

Not always a place to relax and unwind, as hot days and/or weekends bring out the folks with kids/dogs, etc.

This ia a great park for a walk- the expansive lake never disappoints my eye! i live on the wrong side of town to frequent this one more than a couple of times a year. If I lived closer i would be a regular.

Lake Wheeler is a small lake but lots of fun to kayak or sail on. There are picnic areas and nature trails to enjoy.
