The Carolina Tiger Rescue appears to be a very well run sanctuary for wild cats of all types. We were lured in by the tigers, but enjoyed the chance to also meet lions, leopards, cougars, ocelots, caracals, and others. My husband and I, plus our...More

I've lived in this area most of my life and I love this rescue. They maintain a clean, well-managed facility, do not take on more animals than they can manage, and provide an infomative tour that gives visitors a close look at some beautiful animals....More

I have been here 3 times spread out over 15 years. I would give it 5 stars for the animals and seeing them up close and learning a bit about them. But every time I leave I am always left thinking - that went on...More

We read and heard about this place but finally registered for a tour when we had some days off. Keep in mind it involves a lot of walking (maybe not best for small children) and you have to sign a waiver. There might be restrictions...More

We had a very nice tour of the beautiful facility. The sanctuary is clean and well maintained. We really liked that spaciousness especially between enclosures. The animals seemed content and happy to interact with us. If you are interested in saving endangered big cats, this...More

The Tiger Rescue is a hidden gem. The animals are beautiful and each has its own story. We definitely plan to return soon.

They support rescue, education, and sanctuary for large and small cats. These cats have come from people's homes who realized they cannot care for them anymore (it is not illegal to own a large cat in the state of NC and many other states); other...More

Such a great place to see big cats in comfortable, safe, and expansive areas where they can live out their lives after being rescued. A wonderful experience for anyone visiting the Triangle or even residents! Bring the kids and the in-laws - you'll love it!

There were not easy places to sit when I went - it's a really slow walk around though, no one was rushing, and lots of time was spent at each exhibit. So plenty of time to catch up.
