We really like slippery and have been twice. The first time was mid-fall and there were no life guards and you couldn’t rent jackets. Honestly, it was probably too cold in the fall but my oldest child who was 7 loved it. Make sure you...More

Line was long but moved quickly. Water was C.O.L.D. but fun on a hot day. Bathrooms were mostly clean and lots of places to explore the area.

The water was really high after snow melted and plentiful rainfall. I’m sure in the summertime this is a lot of fun for both adults and children.

We stopped here during our December visit to the area. The rains and snow the week before had this stream gushing with lots of water. It was too cold to slide, no life guards on duty and not safe to slide. BUT WE ENJOYED the...More

Pisgah has many beautiful waterfalls and hikes and some camping opportunities. There were a few picnicking spots along the main road as well. There is a hatchery and wildlife education center. The rhododendrons were beautiful along the water. This is a true gem in the...More

We had a great time camping in the Pisgah National Park and my son was the only one brave enough to do sliding rock on this cold day. He said it was refreshing and actually better than doing it on a hot day.

We went in October and the park was closed for sliding down the falls. There was no admissions fee during this time. There is a $3 fee when the slide rock is open and there is a lifeguard on duty. We cannot wait to return...More

The water falls cascades over a huge mountain slope which doubles as slide. Looks a bit iffy on safety side so take care. The landing though looks deep enough it looks like a good experience In summer. Would just rather watch in fall season. Good...More

This is something you must do! It was a blast to slide down the sliding rock. The water is cold, but it is worth it.

Dogs are allowed in the areas surrounding the sliding rock. I stayed with my daughter's dog while he family did the sliding. I don't think that dogs are allowed in the water though.
