This is a short nature trail that leads to a pretty soundside beach. There are some interpretative signs put up by the conservation land trust that owns (or manages) the property. Bug spray is warranted. While the walk is nice, if you are looking for...More

Very interesting coastal preserve with a history linked to Blackbeard the pirate. You MUST wear bug spray before you enter or you will be eaten alive...

Nothing exciting, but very beautiful and peaceful, love to walk down to the shore and wade around in the water with my son. Great place to watch the sunset. Bring bug spray, sometimes the mosquitoes can be bad.

Took this short hike while out walking around the village. The trail was excellent and the views from Springers Point were fantastic.

Glad they set aside this beautiful piece of land. Great hike, nature trails and beach. Maritime forests, living shoreline and cool beach. No parking! Ride a bike or walk. Spend 45 minutes minimum or 3 hours.

Amazing new Ocracoke site we discovered. One can imagine pirates walking along these forested trails that then open to shore line and a expansive view of the water. There is even a small area where is there a beach is available for wading or swimming....More

Agree with CRSWIN. Beautiful spot on Ocracoke. This is one of the reasons we go to the outer banks and islands & to get away from people who whine about no parking and no bathrooms. It is a trail through maritime foresst to end island...More
