Very interesting collection of local historical artifacts. Also has exhibit which identifies the various shells you come across on the beaches. Worth the visit.

We went by as we always do when on Ocracoke. We buy tickets for the quilt they make every year. Debbie was a wonderful person to talk with and gain additional information about the island.

A great experience for Ocracoke History Seekers: you can even sit and watch a video about "the Ocracoke Brogue." Several exhibits and a gift shop.

Always good to revisit old 1900's home displays including the indoor kitchen hand pump, singer foot pedal sewing machine, old hanging pictures, etc.

Wonderful museum for free! We loved it because we are Coast Guard and there is a small room dedicated to a lot of the CG's influence in the area. Also in another room was a great little exhibit on the Mounted Boy Scouts-the only one...More
