Until Joe and Joyce Neely purchased the property, RayLen Vineyards & Winery functioned as a dairy farm for nearly a century. Today, the rolling hills and winding drive romance our guests as they drive through 35,000 European-varietal grape vines. The distinctive cupola roof top of RayLen Vineyards & Winery is a beacon for the southern portion of the Yadkin Valley Appellation. Travelers from the highway and wanderers from the surrounding country roads are drawn to the tasting room to discover a new experience. Loyal customers return for the lush vista and a reliable favorite of vintner Steve Shepard's award-winning wines.

The most recent visit to Raylen was with a corporate event with husband's company. We had also done a wine tasting a few weeks back that was most enjoyable. At the prior wine tasting we purchased 6 bottles that we took with us. During that visit we were told about the case club, which was of great interest to my... More

Husband and I decided on a wine tasting date night. This was our first stop. Did the whole flight tasting. Great selection and friendly service. Got an ice cold bottle to enjoy outside. They have great places to relax outside and enjoy the property. I could have stayed all day.

We have been there several times and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They have frequent fun events with catered food and live music. Wine is very good and when buying a case you get a good discount and they raise the discount with every case that you buy.

RayLen is probably the best wine producer in NC. There are larger ones, those that have more visitors, but none produce better wine in my opinion. Wine maker Steve Shepherd works his magic every year at this winery that has been a fixture in our area for about 17 years now. We are fortunate to live only a couple of... More

We just did a simple day trip to RayLen Vineyards last Saturday during Memorial Day weekend. I saw that they had a band playing and basically it turned out to be a great big party out on the front yard of the winery. We had a really good time. This was our 3rd trip to the winery and the 1st... More

The wine is good, and the staff is friendly and informed! It's fun to go there for a tasting or to simply stop by for a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful view!

Stopped here early on a Saturday morning and had the place to ourselves. Beautiful winery and nice tasting room. The wines were excellent, my wife LOVED the Barrel fermented Chardonnay! Getting very hard to find a good buttery, oaky Chard anymore but this was very good. The reds were excellent as well (my preference) The young man that did our... More

We stopped there on a night that thy had music, which caused them to not have their tasting, so we had to buy several glasses and pass them back and forth. Most of the wines were a little too sweet for us, but different folks have different palates, so who knows. The music was pretty well attended, and by families... More
