Great slope for beginning skiers

We had a great lesson before taking to the slopes. All of us had a fun day! It became crowded about mid-afternoon, but the morning and late afternoon were perfect.

My wife and I chose to ski Wolf Ridge yesterday, after carefully considering other area ski resorts (Catalooche, Sugar, and Appalachian). We had been to Beech before, but it was too overcrowded. We chose Wolf Ridge because we are beginners and wanted a more laid-back experience, where we could work on our skiing skills. And that is exactly what we... More

Our 1st time trying to ski so we did the private lesson for our family of 3. It was crowded because it was a holiday weekend, but we still had a great experience, especially our 6 year old. The instructor was patient and an expert, we could tell. We liked that this was a low key resort, very family friendly... More

Wolf Ridge was beautiful. Staff was so pleasant and helpful. There was a huge range of skill level from beginner to expert and everything in between. Multiple lifts and runs were open despite the mild winter. I wold recommend for the whole family!!

1/28/17- this park was making snow the night before. My group was very excited to try the tube park. Once we got to the park and notice the small hill the tubes go down, we decided not to Tube at all. This is the smallest tube hill, we have ever seen.

Everything was lovely. We were greeted by a young little boy, asking if we needed help with anything?! Just too cute! 😀 Just wish they took care of the rental gear a bit better. Everything we were rented and shown was either torn, broken, dirty, or unusable. This are items you wear on your body, after many others before you,... More

I've skied at all the NC resorts except Beech Mtn. I didn't dislike Wolf Ridge but it was a little let down. First the pros: -Easy access. Right off I-26. Nearly all interstate from Aiken, SC -inexpensive. Much less than Cataloochie and less than most other NC resorts. -Eagle-Broadway is a great green trail that's interesting and long. -Lodge -... We took our family skiing here today after our local school system cancelled for the second day in a row due to snow and ice. Although this is a smaller resort, it was perfect for our ten year old beginner skier who was skiing for the first time. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I love... More

Came without any expectations and enjoyed very much. The youngest got her first lessons and disappeared for the whole day, mastering the tracks. Staff was very friendly justifying the "southern hospitality" reputation. We loved the big roaring hearths and the pine smell from the burning logs. It was crowded, noisy and boisterous and we loved every minute of our stay,... More

Badly in need of snow.Weather has been so warm even in the mountains, that snow making couldn't make skiing good. Two lifts ,but only one running . Too small for an above average skier.

We hope you will give us a try again when winter hits in the Southeast and we have more terrain open. We were grateful to have at least some trails open for people to play on during the 50 degree, rainy weather over the last couple weeks. If you visit again I think you will find our resort offers some... More
