The day we came here the Blue Ridge Pkwy was closed. The GPS sent us miles down a dirt road. We ended up at another shorter entrance to the falls. It was beautiful and we were so glad we came. Check out Louise's Famous restaurant within sight of the falls entrance. Excellent meals and homemade desserts!

Hiked to 3 diff views of the gorge. Cloudy day but made it nice for the hiking. Gorgeous views of water, rock and mountains. Didn't take long. Everything about 0.4 miles from each other. You can do all three locations in no time.

This place was unbelievable the waterfalls were huge and so powerful, I couldn't believe the views and there were barely any people around within the whole mile+ park the walk is about a half mile but it is so worth it

Would definitely recommend this location for a look at nature closeup. Trails are well designated and designed for a variety of athletic levels. Absolutely breathtaking views.

If you are ever driving this part of the Blue Ridge Parkway, take time to see Linville Falls. The Visitor Center was closed when we went (off season), but the park is open whenever the BRP is open. There are a couple of overlooks. Be sure to go to the second one, Chimney Rock overlook, as it offers views for... More

This is a must see destination when on the Blue Ridge parkway. It is one of the easier large falls to get to. The path to the lower falls viewing area can be very strenuous but the upper falls is fairly easy to get to.

this was a great hike and breathtaking views. there were options for easy, moderate and difficult hikes. we went on the moderate and found it to be sometimes challenging but well worth the hike. there are three places to stop and make sure you do all three. bring water. go to the bathroom before you get there- the visitors center... We took from friends to the gorge and falls today. It was just spectacular, the colors outstanding. Nice that it was not too busy and we could get around comfortably.

I have been visiting Linville Gorge since I was a little girl with my family. My husband and I have visited with our children on many trips to the Blue Ridge and today, my younger daughter and I visited for a nice fall walk among the colorful foliage and the crisp mountain air. The park is well maintained. Many areas... More
