Beautiful walk to see different spots of this multilevel waterfall. Make sure you go all the way to Erwin’s view to see the entire beauty of the gorge and waterfall

A short hike from the parking lot brings you to the falls. A walking stick or trekking poles might be helpful. The falls are quite beautiful!

wonderful nature experience in the Appalachian/Blue Ridge Mountains. Went in the Fall, so the leaves withe color change added to the beauty. Walk the trails and cliffs to observe rivers, waterfalls, foliage and natural beauty at its greatest.

We spent about 3 hours exploring the area. It is totally free and the kids loves it. Took a few pictures to share the beauty.

We had an extra two hours to explore after our hike to nearby Hawksbill Mountain and Linville was on our way. The park right off the Blue Ridge Parkway is well maintained and the paths easy to all vantage points. If you only have time...More

A hike of approximately three quarter to a mile is required to see the gorge. Nice but average as compared to other gorges.

The hike is mostly flat with a few inclines and steps. When you get to Rainbow falls, keep going to Turtle back falls, only 1/4 of a mile! The hike is worth the effort, Just do it!!
