Great food and atmosphere for Easter brunch. We made reservations and I would recommend doing the same.

We were a party of 16, 3 generations who had reservations in advance. Part of our party arrived very early to the Pavilion for Easter Brunch. Our reservation was for 11:30. When everyone in our party arrived the table had not been set up. Staff was going to sit us all at separate round tables. We wanted to sit together... More

Great experience. The building and grounds are relatively new and very clean. The tour guide, Lee was very friendly, warm and welcoming and knowledgeable. First he described the main building which included the 'shoppe' that had a wine tasting bar, a selections of Childress wines for sale and numerous wine accessories. We then sent outside where he pointed out the... More

Childress is one of our favorite Winery's to visit, the grounds are beautiful, the wine tasting has a great selection to choose from. The best of all is there Bistro great food and good service, my husband and I have ate there several times and never disappointed.

We visited on a Friday afternoon. The grounds were beautiful and the main building was impressive. Restaurants looked excellent, but we did not eat there. Three out of four of us tried the wine tastings. The wines were just OK, but nothing special. Store was interesting and well-staffed with friendly knowledgeable people. We did buy 2 bottles for home. Would... More

We really enjoyed the wines we tasted at Childress. There is a gift shop as well as a place to eat there. We didn't try it this time, but hope to in the future.

Beautiful scenery, good wine, delicious food and great gift shop. What's not to like?? The wine tasting was fun and informative. Staff was super friendly. Really like the outdoor area in a nice day.

We tasted about 8 excellent wines and purchased our favorites. We then toured the building to see the process of making wine. Loved seeing all the barrels of wine stacked to the ceiling.

Driving along the Highway in North Carolina, we turned off for Childress Vineyards and found a delightful, Italian style vineyard, with perfect rows of vines, a good shop, possibilities of wine tasting and a very acceptable restaurant. Think they could have added a few more interesting wines to our tasting: we took the red. However, we bought the Victory cuvee... More

We did the red winetasting and had a nice time with son n daughter in law. Staff very accommodating, pots of the 8 different wines exactly 1/2 ounce, would have liked a bit more. Wine good, but expensive unless you are a member which is too expensive for out of town guests. Building and grounds decorated for Christmas and were... More
