I’m actually staying nearby and I go here to walk everyday. I love the history surrounding me as well as the nice concrete trail. I’ve seen several deer on my walks

Reasonably good parking. Nice beach area. Very close to the ferry, which is a cheap, 30-min ride to Southport (kids would love the round trip). Was there on a rainy, overcast weekend so not sure if it’s crowded on a good weather day.

a must see, it is worth the admission to watch the divers feed and see the beautiful aquariums. Go early so it's not so crowded that way you can really enjoy it

We stopped after an aquarium visit. Plentiful picnic grounds, bath houses, in season a refreshment stand. Boardwalk access to a big wide natural beach. Walking trails. Would like to return to spend more time exploring!

We are participating in the State park passport program,Ft Fisher is #37 we have visited. It was the most dirty facility that we have visited.Bathroom doors were propped open and trash cans were full, urine on toilet seats, floors dirty, sinks dirty too. No camping, picnic area beside bathrooms.

A beautiful place. It's that simple. You can walk the beach for miles. We were fortunate enough to be able to stay at the Air force Recreational RV park so we had all that Fort Fisher offers at our finger tips.

Finally took the opportunity to take our truck out on the sand at Fort Fisher. About 4 miles of isolated beach to run on and we had a blast. They charge a daily fee to get on the beach as most beach access do in...More

I am embarrassed to say that I had never heard of Fort Fisher until my husband and I visited Carolina Beach. The story of this fort is interesting and well worth a trip to hear the story and see what is left of the area....More

We took the Basin Trail which winds through marshy areas and wooded areas with boardwalks and mostly flat walking. It wasn't great for birding on the particularly windy day that we were there but nevertheless provided a good outdoor experience and exercise with beautiful views...More

Yes. And if you purchase a pass for both beaches it is a little cheaper. I hope this helps.
