Terrific Historical stop

We all know the story of the Wright Brothers First Flight but being here really brings the event too life. Just 66 years after this 12 second flight; we landed men on the moon.

Save your $7 per person admission fee. There is nothing here worth the price. Visitor center is under construction, so there are no exhibits, just the monument, two empty sheds, and a make shift book store.

This is a great memorial run by the National Park Service. I consider it to be a must see. It is a wonderful resource to learn many many details about the Wright brothers process leading up to their first powered flight.

Quite interesting exhibits and store at this, the "Wright Brothers National Monument". Seeing the takeoff point requires an uphill walk, not suitable for the handicapped. We bought some nice educational souvenirs and publications in the museum store.

If you have any interest in how man first took to flight, this is the place to visit. Great tour. So easy for us compared to the sacrifices of the Wright Brothers.

We visited in early May 2017 on a clear, sunny, not too hot day. Note that at present, the visitor's center is being renovated, so all points of interest are outside. They have put up temporary units with facilities, ranger center, etc. If you have children, you can get a Junior Rangers book that has activities for them to complete... More

This is an intersting monument. I was expecting it to be more informative and have something more indepth, but thinking that the Wright brothers and their story has been said and watch over and over and over, I guess you cannot expect more.

A must stop and check out. Take time to read the monuments on the history of flight. I found it very interesting. The staff at the Welcome Center are also very helpful.
