A large rapids area with a low height from top to bottom makes for very nice pictures and lots of people stop here at the convenient parking place just next to the wilderness road.

On the Wilderness route you bump into the Trappstegsforsen. It's a beautifull sight, also easy to park.

Trappstegsforsen (The stair step fall) is located about 85 km west of Vilhelmina in southern Lappland, Sweden. It belongs to Kultsjöån, a tributary to the long Ångermanälven river, which stretches from the Gulf of Bothnia up to the Vilhelmina municipality area. Steps from alum shale over which water flows, has given its name to the fall. A little further west, about 90 km from Wilhelmina is the Saxnäs village which has a magnificent view over the Kultsjö lake opposite the Marsfjällen mountains the highest mountains of the Västerbotten province, in the north of Sweden, 1590 meters high (5216.54-foot).
Another 15 km to the west from Saxnäs, you find the Sami cultural church site Fatmomakke with Sami huts (tipis).
