The town of Tangalan is just a 45 minutes bus trip from Kalibo and from the public market there are plenty of tricycles for Jawili Falls....The falls is located just few meters from the road.....The entrance fee is just Php 5.00.....there are native cottages , trees and flowering plants surrounding this seven-layer cascade. The place is not just for taking a dip at the pools (choose which layer you like) but the cool and relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature takes away the stress of city life

We needed a break from the daily routine, so we pointed North from Numancia looking for Jawili Falls. Finally saw the sign behind several trees driving through Tangalan, turned left at St. John Nepomucene Parish and about 10 min later arrived at Jawili Falls. Beautiful refreshing pools fed by the falls, easy to hike up. Will have to go back prepared to swim!

The falls are nice, but a little dirty. Definitely try to go after its been raining a bit. Even if you do't go swimming yourself, you can watch the kids take the 5+ meter dive from the cliff into the lower pool. There are two bar/restos at the base for refreshments before or after. Enjoy

If you are a Nature Lover Traveler then you will enjoy this place. You must be careful because you will have here a little trekking experience. Best for photo shoot and a quiet place with your love ones and friends.

Jawili falls is a unique waterfall with various basins to swim, the water looks clean enough for a swim. Although not as impressive as the other falls it has its own charm. You can pass by this area when traveling from Kalibo to Caticlan for Boracay.

The Falls are about 1/2 hr drive from Kalibo so if your are going to the beaches near the falls say Jawili Wave Resort, or on to Boracay try to take the time to stopover for a few hrs. IF it has rained these falls can be a very beautiful site and lots of fun for young or felling young to climb up dive and swim on hot day.

If you like a beautiful quite beach and a lot less traffic than Boracay the beach resorts in the area or a little local but offer a nice retreat from the tourist traps. We just stayed at the Wave Resort and it is very local but has travelers from US, Canada and Japan. If you are into the Wind Surfing type sports this is the place. Large open sand beach with very few or no obstruction large inland bay. If you are backpacking your way across the world this is also a very good stay.
