Visible from the highway, this 120-foot waterfall sometimes displays a rainbow in the afternoon light and has been known to freeze up during the winter.

I visited in the summer when the locals were crowding the falls, sliding down the rocks, & showing the tourists the best way to go about safe fun. The chilly water offered a nice reprieve from the heat!

I'm sure in summer it's very impressive and it's cool to drive behind it (the reason I'm giving it a 4). In the winter it isn't very impressive and for understandable reasons. No charge. It's right off the highway. The first of 3 waterfalls in...More

Quick to drive to in the highlands, great picture opportunity! May be just a trickle if there hasn't been much rain.

Probably neat to see when there is plenty of water, but otherwise, a major letdown. Granted, we were there during a dry spell, but other falls in the area still had water. This was just a trickle, literally. VERY accessible (a turn-out from U.S. 64...More

During this drought (November '16) there was precious little water coming over the falls. Nothing like the picture. Also, there was NO car access. EASY EASY to get to. Obviously you don't even have to get OUT of the car!

As others on here have said, the drought has really affected this place. I guess, in that regards, it serves as a visual reminder for me to do my best to take care of the environment. It is still pretty awesome that there is a...More

Less than normal rainfall did not provide any show. I'm sure that normal precipitation allows the falls to flow.

This fall is nothing more than a trickle due to the drought...usually prettier in the spring. They have both sides of the road that goes under it blocked off.
