This waterfall is easily accessed with a vehicle parking lot and structured walkway. Viewing is possible with very limited walking (as per the photos), but additional walking down several sets of steps and walkways will get you up close and fairly personal. Either way, you'll enjoy a beautiful scene. NOTE : This is but one of a number of beautiful... More

We didn't know about Dry Falls we were on our way to Highlands, NC for a romantic getaway with my husband and saw this beautiful water fall and had to stop. So very glad we did. We walked down to the falls. It was a very short walk and it was a paved path. If you can't walk down to... More

The falls is very accessible. There is convenient parking right off the highway. You descend a few hundred feet on very well maintained stairs and then your view is unhindered. You can walk behind the falls when season permits. It's a beautiful place to see. There is a 2.00 parking fee in summer; free in winter. Picnic tables available if... More

Words cannot describe the beauty and sense of awe you get from going underneath this giant waterfall. All cliche words of natural beauty fit this place perfectly.

We enjoyed visiting the falls, but the parking area is small and there were a lot of people. If you don't mind sharing the view or want a short walk to the falls, then this place is for you.

Beautiful waterfall that is easily accessible right off U.S. 64. There is a parking lot, bathroom, and nice, paved walkway down to the falls. It’s a short hike and almost anyone can do it. You can walk behind the falls and it’s very picturesque, probably a 7 out of 10 beauty rating. Definitely worth the short stop. Positives: Pretty, VERY... More

Dry Falls is fabulous and so easy to access! Drive a few miles out of Highlands, NC, on Rt. 64 toward Franklin, NC, and find these right along the road. There's a paved parking area and concrete stairs with handrails leading down to the falls. Walk under the waterfall through a fern-lined grotto and stay dry! This is truly magical... More

Take the short walk and say you walked under a waterfall while staying dry! Be advised that it can be icy in winter and parking is limited.
