We saw "Dirty Dancing, the Music and Dancing of Dirty Dancing" yesterday afternoon. A great show performed by very talented singers and dancers in a venue that was clean, comfortable and had good acoustics! It was an audience participation show where folks were encouraged to get on the dance floor and dance along to the music. Fun, fun, fun!

Everything about this venue is first-class. All performers are professional. Seating is comfortable without a bad seat in the house. Sound and lighting are excellent. Each year's schedule of performances seems even better than the year before.

Visited this venue for the first time to see "The Music (and dancing) of Dirty Dancing." We arrived early enough to obtain the last parking spot in the onsite parking area (small area). The theater was nice and cool on a hot day and the lobby area is large with seating. There is also a bar area to purchase drinks.... More

What can you say about a concert showcasing the music of Billy Joel and Elton John other than that it was terrific!!! The musicians are talented, high energy and got the audience singing, humming and toe tapping in their seats!!! Another great musical show at the downtown playhouse!

We have gone to several performances at this site. Seating is on 3 sides. Small enough that you can see an hear well. Another advantage is that this is in downtown Hendersonville and there are a lot of restaurants close by.

We went and saw 'James and the Giant Peach'. It was a good production, faithful to the story, and the actors and actresses did a good job. The sound was overall fairly good, though at times it was hard to hear. Lights and seats were also average, nothing to write home about. It's fairly small, but great for kids and... More

This playhouse holds 3-400 people and is a great venue for watching a play or listening to a music review. Just about 40 minutes from the west side of Greenville it is easy to get to. There are a lot of places to eat and shop in town as well. Reasonable prices and a pretty neat town. We will be... More

Our senior adult group visited the Flatrock Playhouse in Hendersonville. We saw "The Importance of Being Earnest." The play was very enjoyable. Everyone we deal with at the Playhouse is always very helpful - the group sales coordinator, the box office people and the ushers are always very courteous and helpful. We have visited the Flatrock Playhouse several times and... More

The Flat Rock Playhouse is designated as the State Theatre for North Carolina and that includes the Downtown Playhouse. The reputation of the Flat Rock Playhouse is stellar! Those of us who live in Western NC are immeasurably fortunate to have access to one of the most professional theaters in America. When you visit our area (including Hendersonville and Asheville)... I went to watch James and the Giant Peach and it was incredible fun and the ticket price was very reasonable! I really enjoyed! Also, there is a parking lot next to the Playhouse who can be used as free.
