Winter house is a beautiful building, coll in the summer and warm in the winter. My favorite is the round corn crib. A learning experience for the whole family. Check for events located in downtown Hayesville NC.

The huts and garden are wonderful replicas showing how the Cherokee lived. The only reason I didn't give it more stars was that I found the guided trail difficult to follow and ended up lost. Other than that, this is a great way to spend...More

The winter hut is a great replica. It was closed the day we were there but you are free to see all the camp exibits outside and there is a path you can hike to the indian mounds.

Sandy Nicolette was our guide for this, and it was quite interesting. The Old Jail museum is right above this. The lady there is quite informative. Made it a great experience for our group.

Another little gem in the heart of Hayesville. It is adjacent to the town museum which is in a one hundred year old jail. Another free attraction in Hayesville.

Informative and worth the ride to check out. Take a walk along the Quannassee path down to Spikebuck Mound.
