Spent several hours at Rose Creek. Tom and Linda are very helpful and fun to talk to about rocks. The dirt piles are close by , though you can buy salted buckets. I found several very nice gems and nongem quality rocks. Highly recommend you...More

They no longer have all the activities that are listed on their website. The "digging" for your own gems is digging into a pile that has very little in it, and the pieces are very small. Wear clothes you don't mind messing up, the clay...More

My husband and I went hunting for gems and had a wonderful day. It was a very near experience. We both found several different gems (sapphire, garnet) to name a couple. We loved it.

Our daughters loved searching for gems at Rose Creek Mine! They were so friendly and even help you define what you've found and how much it may be worth. Very fun!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The owners were polite and always there to help or answers questions. While we had no children with us, I noticed that they took extra time to help the children and explain the gems. Place was well kept and we look...More

Kids had a blast finding gems. Staff was helpful and friendly despite being extremely busy with eclipse visitors. Went through our find and bagged and labeled our gems.
