We knew nothing about Edenton, so we stopped in the Barker House, what a nice group of people inside, where we learned all about the town. Its such a beautiful spot on the wharf for pictures too!

Ladies who worked there wore period dresses that they had sewn, that really added to the atmosphere. They were very friendly and informative. Gift shop not too large, had a nice selection of products.

We felt 'welcome' the moment we stepped in the door. Lots of information about the history of a lovely town and the exhibits are thorough. The employees are pleasant and very helpful.

This is a great place to begin learning about Edenton and its history. There is plenty to see and take the time to read the plaques.
