We have always enjoyed staying at Falls Lake; however, I feel the bath house in Loop B is unsafe. There is no way I would allow a teen of mine to shower here alone. The dressing area of the showers have no door or shower curtain. Once you step out of the shower to dry off and dress you are exposed in all your glory for everyone walking by. This day and age of transgender and everything else there is no way I want my child exposed to walking by 3 showers of naked people getting dressed to get to vacant shower number 4.
Another issue is the dumpsters. From Monday to Friday the dumpsters had not been dumped and were completely full. When the wind shifted that was all you smelled.
Sites are shady and large. There is a beach area, lots of picnic areas, two fishing piers and several picnic shelters. If you like hiking there are hiking trails. This is a great place to kayak also.
Other than this, great stay and friendly staff.

In September I visited falls lake with my family and loved the place. It was very quiet on the day we were there but the lake was beautiful and we went for a walk along the shore through the trees, it was lovely. There are lots of different areas around the lake and they seemed to have the same features There was plenty of tables for picnics and places where you could barbeque and washroom facilities were spotless. We loved the place and will definately visit again

The campground is very quiet and the sites are very private and nicely wooded. We were in a pull through site (B9) which was very secluded and only a short walk to the fishing pier. We would recommend this campground.

This is a nicely designed Campground and/or place to spend the day. There is a boat launch if you have a boat, or if you just want to swim in a "beach-like" area for the day. Worth the trip

The electrical outlet had been replaced 2 weeks before our arrival according to the maintenance man. However the ground plug was connected to the hot wire. My surge guard gave me an error of reversed polarity. The maintenance man reversed the hot and neutral side and told me everything was ok. I retested and found there was still a problem. He then rewired the outlet. We did not have electricity our first night. I wonder if anyone used that site and damaged their rv. Trip Advisor is hard to find where to rate a campground. They need a separate page for campgrounds.

Depending on where you're coming from if it's not too far away this is a nice place to have a picnic or a barbecue and for kids to go swimming. The water is quite muddy and somewhat dirty however at least this month of August. There are hiking areas but it's too hot and we didn't give any of them a try. I expect this would be lovely in early summer before it gets too hot.

This is a spacious park with a small entrance fee. It has a nice swimming area (maybe a little small) with a decent sized beach, a fishing pier, and plenty of trails around the park and the lake. There are also a couple of places to put in a boat if you have one. Plenty of parking. Good way to spend a day away from the hustle.

We were disappointed with our experience. The bath houses are in desperate need of upgrades. It's a shame because the campsites are very nice. I would give it a 4 or a 5 if they would just update restrooms and showers.

We are visitors to North Carolina where our son lives. We love to explore the area when here and find places we have previously not visited. Rolling View Falls Lake State Park came into that category and on a sunny hot Sunday afternoon we found this lovely park. There is an entrance fee ($4 in our case) which allows entry to all areas of the park. We enjoyed viewing the marina with the wide variety of boats moored, seeing the fishing pier, the boat ramp and picnic facilities, walking along the lake shore watching the various boaties enjoying time on the water, dove through the impressive camping areas with what appeared to be great facilities and then enjoyed our picnic in the designated area. There were a number of tables, seating, fire boxes and good paths and tracks plus bathroom facilities and garbage collection. From what we saw the park is well maintained and widely used and a great resource for the local community and visitors.

I tent camped here a few years ago and plan to go back this summer. Very large site right on the water. Was able to get to the swimming beach either by walking along the waters edge or on the hiking trail. Nice bath house also.
