Loved this state park. We have hiked at 5 or so in NC so far, and this is my favorite. Waterfall and mountain views. Kid friendly. Picnic options. 3 year old and 11 year old did great.

I hike here often. The park is well run. The staff & facilities are an example for others to follow. The diversity of this park means everyone can experience & enjoy the beauty of nature no matter what their abilities or interests.

no. I would advise against it. the trails are steep in some areas with lots of roots. if you have a little one, I'd suggest using a wearable baby carrier.

Two nights are the minimal. Recent price (Dec 2016, at holiday) is 85/night, plus reservation fee and tax is 188 for two nights. Cancellation 14 days before will you loss $6 reservation fee only but no cancel is allowed... More
