This is a combination park, historic home, sunset spot and lighthouse. And, an easy walk into Old Town Corrolla. The house tour is available for a nominal fee for a walk through of the home and furnishings when Corolla was a hunters paradise. Visitors can climb the lighthouse for a fee in season. A lovely spot away from the frenzy... More

This place is fascinating, the history of it, the building, and the period furnishings and decor. The interior of the home is a treasure, and there is are exhibits in the basement that rival any museum. Don't miss a chance to sit on the front porch and take in the panoramic sound view.

We visited here after touring the Currituck Lighthouse. It has beautiful waterfront views which would be spectacular for sunsets if it's open then. We were there during the day and enjoyed a walk around the property.

Been to lots of old homes and this one had a rather simple appearance although for the location would have been quite a getaway in its time.

This was a very interesting tour of the hunting lodge. The guides were great and provided a lot of insight about what it was like for a woman in those days. Recommend this a must see!

What a beautiful place, I would love to come back with a picnic lunch. So peaceful you can see the lighthouse from across the water.

First surprise is that you think the entrance is the main one but it's actually the back door -- BUT do enter there because that's where you join the tour. The tour was very informative and the pace of the tour was well organized. We enjoyed the clothing exhibit in the basement, too!

The self guided tour was very well done. Each of the 13 stations provided excellent information on this home built in the 1920's. This allowed us to tour the home in a small group at our own pace. The beautiful setting near the lighthouse and informaion center was an added bonus.

We finally walked through this historic building. We didn't alow enough time there. We'll return next time when we've got more time to stroll through casually taking it in.
