We paddle board and kayak here several times a week. Water gets very busy and choppy on weekends by noon. Several ospreys around with their young if you like birds. Many turtles and fish too. I've seen a few snakes not many.

Lots of activity available on this very large, manmade lake that comprises at least 4 counties. Peaceful settings can always been found or lots of activities.

We went boating on a beautiful day on Lake Norman. Our Grandkids enjoyed tubing and we enjoyed their obvious delight. We ate lunch at a place of the lake and the weather was perfect.

For a small town, this visitor's center is very nice. The customer service agents are very helpful and pleasant. The have tons of brochures on the area and the attractions, great soveniers and the Chamber of Commerce is right there on site!

It is on Catawba in Cornelius. Right off the 77 freeway. There is no city of "Lake Norman" but several cities have shoreline (Davidson, Cornelius, Mooresville and more). Cornelius has the best C of C.
