This 1,200-acre park was once the estate of William Neal Reynolds, brother of tobacco businessman R.J. Reynolds. The Reynolds willed the Tanglewood property to the citizens of Forsyth County to share as a public recreational park. The combination of its streams, woodlands, and grassy pastures with the traditions of its architecture, horses, gardening, and wide range of recreational activities make Tanglewood an ideal countryside park to visit over and over again.

We came here for the wine festival but couldn't stay away, returning the following morning before leaving town. What a lovely place for a quiet stroll before a long drive home! We're hoping we'll be able to use the campground for our next visit.More

I can't emphasize how crazy the line getting into the park can be. There's no reason for it. The traffic plan is just a mess. The park itself is beautiful. We love the BMX park.

I visited this park to take part in a bbq cooking school. The park has all the things a person needs and is designed great. Easy to get around.

Excellent for walking, many trails both paved and not. Easy to set up a routine with the right level of challenge, once you know the place. A well known public golf course, BMX track, and public swimming are a few of the attractions. A model...More

We have a group of 25 in several cars meeting there. Is there is a good place we can all meet up outside of the park that is easy to find and to leave a car?

Hello! There is a shopping center across the street from the park that you should be able to park in as you combine vehicles. Thanks!
