Probably the best part about our day trip to Cherokee. Our 5 year old had a grand ol' time playing with the rocks on the river. There was even a little workout area where my husband got in a few exercises. Very relaxing! There were...More

Wonderful place for kid to play in the shallow water. The bamboo forest was our favorite. Clean bathroom on site. Lots of places to have a picnic. Parking was free and easy to access. Plan to spend a few hours here!

This place was a blast... shallow water for the kids to wade around in... great place for small children... water was cold but in 90 degree weather... heaven! Nice picnic areas too... great way to spend time on a hot summer day!

This is a beautiful park with fantastic access to the river. Parking is easy, the park is clean, the walking paths are very accessible, and the restroom facilities are well maintained. We love bringing our kids here to play in the river.

Great place to relax and listen to the water. Beautiful scenery and a great place to cool off in the sparkling clean water of the river.

I took my children to the fireside storytelling, ready to immerse my children in more Cherokee culture and historical truth. What I got was a five minute sweet story followed by a 30 minute tirade against "European" settlers, all told with a sweet smile by...More

Didn't know about the river until we passed it. On the way back from Smokey Mountains we stopped for a swim and saw moose. Now that was a great afternoon!

We picked up food from a local restaurant, so I'm not positive about if there are grills there. However, I just saw in "The Insiders Guide to the Great Smoky Mountains" that they do have grills in the park.
