Tickets can be purchased online, in advance at a reasonable price, or at the entrance. A guide walks with your group around the village to learn about and talk with the artisans about life in a Cherokee village. There are houses to explore and children enjoy the outdoor learning. Bath rooms are available and a nice gift shop is at... More

Needs to be something more interesting to do and see. I think that would increase appeal. I did enjoy it, but would have been better if there was more to see and a little better show.

It was different than we expected. It wasn't a true village where the tribe lives, but it did have many buildings you would find in a village and tribe members exhibiting different skills such as weapons making and jewelry making.

It's been a while since I went there but if you're going to spend a little time around Cherokee and have kids, I would highly recommend this visit. You'll learn a lot if you spend the time to see how a real Indian was like and all the different crafts they did.

It was so interesting there is so much to learn about the Cherokee people and their way of life. They are completely different from the Plains Indians . Their culture was so different from what I had believed . I loved every minute and I now have a new respect for the Cherokee People . It is a must see.

My 11 year old son and I visited the Oconaluftee Indian Village after visiting the Museum of the Cherokee Indian. We got to see part of a performance of dancing while waiting for our tour to begin. At the beginning of each dance, one of the performers would explain the meaning of the dance. The tour was great. There were... More
