As one would expect from the name of the town, that it has some long time connections with the Indians right back to the early days and even today there is a strong Indian presence in Cherokee. You will learn a lot so well worth the visit

Loved spending time here. So much history and information that I had never heard in school. Walking in the building looks small but once you start walking... More

A very well done museum on the American Indian and specifically the Cherokee. Lots of information and educational value here. We spent 2 hours inside and kind of rushed through the last half. Well worth the time and money.

I think this Museum is very well done. It presents the History of the Cherokee nation in an easy to navigate fashion and the displays are incredible. The statues are so life-like I could have sworn they were going to start moving at any minute. I wish Native American history was highlighted more in our country!

The exhibits were well done, we especially enjoyed the lifelike hologram presentations. Detailed information on Cherokee history from prehistoric times to the present with many exhibits from each significant era of North American history, we could have spent much more time here and hope to return soon. Disappointed that we were too early in the season to see the Indian... More
