Best waterfall hike

It was a really short hike, easy for families with small kids. The drive out to the waterfall was beautiful. If you're in Cherokee, this is a must see

Not spectacular, but well worth the stop if in Cherokee. Easy parking access and a very short hike. It is steep with stairs, but less than a half a mile. I was up and down within 20 minutes and I was the only person in area at about 8 in the morning.

These falls were a pleasant surprise tucked just off the main road. Short little hike to the falls was fairly easy. Falls were very sight worthy.

Even though the area was experiencing a dry spell, these falls were still impressive! Fairly easy hike with a long flight of stairs to start.

The stairs were a killer- don't fool yourself. Half the hike is stairs. Not an overly impressive falls either. It more or less is just water that runs down the face of the rock- hard pressed to call it falls. You can hear the stream more than the falls if that tells you anything.

About 160 steps plus a trail of rocks but once there, it is amazing. I've been twice and it was just as spectacular the second time.

Short hike to the falls, lots of stairs though. We went in the middle of the summer and we're surprised at how few people we encountered on our way up. Nice views, and you can get off the trail a little to dip your feet in and the end of the falls.

Mingo Falls is located on Indian property and is about five miles from Cherokee. There are about 160 wooden steps, and then a short walk to the falls. We're in decent shape, so we didn't find the steps to be too challenging. The falls are very beautiful and worth the effort to see it.

Nice drive to the park just beyond Cherokee. Plenty of parking, two porta-pots, stairway up to the falls. It''s all good. If you are in the area, don't pass it up.

.4 miles from parking lot to falls. Worth the time; worth the walk. Steps/stairs a good portion of the way. PortaPotties in parking lot have not been exchanged/cleaned in a long time. Downwind is not pleasant; I suspect using them would not be either.
