- svdbylvBoston, Massachusetts7 contributionsUnexpected blessing! This was an unexpected blessing. We were in town to go to the NASCAR Hall of Fame museum and chanced upon the road sign on the ride down. And I do mean, literally, a blessing. Forget the fact every exhibit was extremely well done - innovative and inspiring. Forget the fact the bookstore did not focus solely on Billy Graham and his works; many authors were given shelf space. Forget, even, the fact the milkshakes were out of this world. Only remember this - the Billy Graham Library may be the library of Billy Graham but its focus is Jesus Christ. It truly honours Dr Graham by primarily focusing on our Lord and Saviour; just as he did.Thank you so much for your recent visit! We're so glad you happened to see the sign and decided to stop, and we're even happier that you found the Library to be such a blessing. We hope you'll visit again the next time you're in Charlotte. - Calondra B.Houston, Texas1,790 contributionsThe Billy Graham LibraryThe Billy Graham Library is located in Charlotte, NC. I visited a while ago and forgot to include a review. My family always watched the Rev. Billy Graham TV crusades. There is such a peaceful spirit when you arrive at the library. He is buried on-site at the Memorial Prayer Garden next to his wife, Ruth Bell Graham. His Graham Family childhood home is on the premises, as well. Admission was free at the time of my visit. Donations were welcome. The staff is courteous and welcome any questions. It is a spacious well designed property to honor Rev Graham. Parking is free and accessible in front of the property. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.Thank you so much for sharing your review for your past visit! We're so glad you enjoyed your visit and found out staff to be so courteous. We hope you'll visit again. - Nanci KBelmont, North Carolina722 contributionsBilly Graham Christmas Experience Amazing!!We have lived in Charlotte for 6 years but have never seemed to manage to make it here or buy tickets before they sold out. This year I started watching out in early November for ticket sales and we bought them right away. We went for everything. First thing we did was go in and have the tour. It was wonderful. Very informative and uplifting. Then we went over for the dinner. It was delicious. It was a buffet and they serve you. You get plenty of food and we left stuffed. You get your choice of turkey or ham or both. We both enjoyed the turkey more. You get gravy, stuffing, green beans, sweet potato casserole rolls and a salad. The salad was delicious. You also get on the table. There are pieces of red velvet cake or a cheesecake. That was the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. It was delicious. There are also pictures of water and unsweet and sweet tea on the table. You sit at a table of 8 or 10 people so you are sitting with people you don't know unless you come with a large party. It was very fun and the people were friendly. After that we went over and walked the grounds a little bit. You get to go into Billy Graham's home that he grew up on. They actually moved the original house over and it is fun to see. They also have a live nativity scene with all the animals. We finished the night by going on a horse carriage ride. It was fun to do once, but I wouldn't do again. It was a very short ride around the grounds and you don't really see very much and it is pretty short. It was fun to do once. Overall. This is a very enjoyable night out. Thanks so much for visiting during Christmas at the Library! We're so glad you were finally able to get tickets for everything, including the Christmas dinner. We have special events throughout the year, as well, so we hope you'll make it back to some of those. He truly changed the world and it is so important to keep his impact front and center. We also enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing the gardens. - Bill P6 contributionsHighly recommended for anyone in CLTI have wanted to go for many years and it far surpassed all expectations. I love the history that it shares and while Billy Graham lived an amazing life, the museum/library is really not as much about him as it is the God he served. I appreciate the humility Billy as well as his wonderful family. Highly recommended. Thanks for your visit and for sharing your review! We're very glad to know everything exceeded your expectations. We were so glad that we planned this trip! It was our sole purpose in visiting Charlotte, but we also enjoyed the friendly down home feel of Charlotte. We spent 3 hrs enjoying the tour and the home place and a walk through the gardens. It would be difficult to do in less than 2 hours. The staff was helpful in keeping the group moving, but I did not feel overly rushed. The story of Billy Graham’s life is inspiring and not preachy. Don’t miss an opportunity to hear about this great pastor, his humble beginnings, and his surrender to faithfully guide presidents and share the Gospel with millions.

This is a must see even a go to. When I read the title with Library in it I thought we would go mainly because I grew up in a family that watched and listened to him whenever he was on tv. From the moment that I saw a huge cross in the barn and the well maintained grounds I thought "library" this isn't a library.
The tour in the barn called "walk of faith" is awesome. The first room talks about how you entered the barn at the "foot of the cross" that hit a nerve in me like wow the foot of the cross where Jesus died for me.
Even thought he has passed away his evangelism is still working to spread salvation to all through Jesus Christ.

Do not rush through! This was unbelievably deep and moving to see Billy Graham’s childhood home, so many pictures from his entire life. The still photos showing the enormous crowds that Billy Graham preached to (472,000 was the largest I saw) and the videos of his heartfelt preaching showed his love for Jesus Christ and his unashamed fervor for sharing the gospel. If I could give a rating of 20, I would. Ruth’s bookstore is amazing, too, and we had both breakfast & lunch at the cafe inside. Be sure and visit the prayer garden where Billy and his wife are buried. It is serene and lovely. Don’t rush through but DO go and visit this amazing treasure.

Our first visit to Charlotte and checking Google all sites rate Bill Graham Library in the top 2.
Decided to check out we both knew of Billy Graham but only from news clips and media.
Well We spent over 4 hours and walked away with a better understanding of all the entire journey of life dedicated to educating the world
on Christianity.
Go if you are in the area ...it was simply a wonderful place and experience.

A beautiful experience. The displays were professionally created and presented. This experience was more than a mere museum and history of Billy Graham's life and ministry. We were entranced in every gallery. The two hours we allotted were inadequate, so we plan another visit in the spring.

I enjoyed the story of Billy Graham and his life story. I was very wowed about his travels and how he met his wife and reading and listening to his vocal and he believes. I've visited Billy Graham Library 3 times already and I can't wait until my brothers visit me in Charlotte so I can take them there.

This museum tells the story of how God took an ordinary farm boy from North Carolina and shaped him into the world's best known evangelist. Each exhibit leads you to the next in smooth transitions. At the end of the tour, there's an excellent gift/book shop. Also on the grounds are the burial sites of Billy and Ruth Graham, Cliff and Wilma Barrows, and George Beverly Shea, as well as the home Billy grew up in. We look forward to returning on a future visit; this was our first.

Billy Graham has been an Icon in our history. Not only was he inspiring but he traveled the world and advised presidents on spirituality. Very interesting to me that I just learned that my mother and one of her best friends sang at a revival in Denver in the 70’s! Who would’ve thunk.

This experience was well worth the trip. You can feel God's presence and it renewed my faith. Learning about Billy Graham's life and legacy was eye-opening and encouraging. It was free to get into the museum and it was more like an attraction. Each room was unique to a particular time frame in his life. Every room had a message that was heart-felt. The staff were welcoming and kind. Great experience, overall!

We will only be able to visit for about a hour maybe a hour and a half. Is that possible or do we have to take a actual tour to see exhibits? Thank you.
Written 15 June 2021
if you have an hour and a half and get right in the tour line, you can do it. (you can leave the tour at any time). It is not all talking,, they just guide you from room to room and are available if you have questions. tell them you are on a time crunch and you may have to leave the tour early or go thru faster.. they are super nice there.
