Walked to this park from our Uptown hotel. Very peaceful and leads direclty into an old quiet residential neighborhood. Great views of the city.

You can either do a self-guided walking tour from the maps on the street or just wander. Lots of beautiful houses and streets

Not much of a park, but at least a small area of green, nestled in an interesting old community, with some nice houses and old industrial buildings converted to condos and apartments.

I found the area very interesting from a historical perspective. In one area, you find yourself looking at the beautiful old homes but if you look up you can see the modern city skyline. The houses are well-appointed with design and features being highly regulated to ensure they are kept to the period.

We drove around the neighbourhood to see the houses and they were lovely to see - it makes you feel like you are in the Southern USA. In fact, there were many areas in Charlotte that had lovely houses. Charlotte is a pretty city all around

Great Vibes of a beatiful restored neighborhood. If you have a car or wish to just walk through the neighbor hood you will not be disapointed.

The houses in this area are incredible. I love the area and the history of the ward. We didn't take the tour but would definately do it if we had the time. The park was great to and the residents were so nice and helpful.

This seemed to be the only area in downtown Charlotte that looked historic, so its worth a 5 minute drive through the few streets along side this park to get a feel for these beautiful historic homes. But the area is only a few blocks, so not a lot of homes to see. The park is small by city park standards (about 1000 of these would fit in New York's Central Park). Its about the size of Bartelme Park in Chicago's West Loop. The size of a city block. Its pretty, but we noticed 2 guys sleeping on the park benches at 3:00 pm. So we didn't bother trying to find a place to park. We just kept driving.

What an adorable area of Uptown Charlotte! I read online that this was a beautiful, and historic place to walk around. I loved it, all the old buildings, some were brick, and some colorful. Definitely a fun place to walk around.
