Average arena with extremely expensive concessions
The Eagles concert was verygood as always. The arena was average. The upper section seating was a steep climb up a stcky set of stairs. I dont know why they werwnt cleaned but obviIusly had not been for a while Be sure to eat before you arrive. A dfaft beer and popcorn was $35!

    Flight Deck L02-B seat 16-17
Recently, I drove seven hours to take my son to the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, and we had an amazing time. The arena lived up to our expectations, delivering a memorable experience. The only downside was the lack of pre-event activities outside the arena, but the attentive staff more than made up for it by keeping us engaged. We opted for seats in the Founder area, specifically the Flight Deck, and it was well worth it. For just $40 each, we enjoyed access to a buffet and our own table, all while being entertained. The only suggestion would be to have a few extra servers at the stairs for smoother service, but it didn't hinder our enjoyment. To enhance others' experiences, I've included some pictures since there wasn't much information available about the seats beforehand. Overall, a fantastic outing – kudos to the Spectrum Center team for a job well done.

    Good Sports Venue
The Spectrum Center is a good venue for basketball. Came here for the NCAA opening rounds. One big plus was the large men's room with a lot of facilities.. no long waits, especially at half time. One downside the concession area. Lines for the pizza and Barbecue were all mixed up. Could have used some rope chains to separate the crowds and make the wait lines distinct.

Okay but needs better food options
I had been here previously for a business event but returned when I won free tickets to see the Eagles in concert. Parking is horrendous and expensive downtown but we found a street lot a few blocks away. For such a large venue, we also thought the variety of food options was lacking. The arena was fine for the concert, even though we thought it was odd that we couldn't bring cans and bottles bought onsite into the seating area (staff told us that was a request of the artist). I would return but only for a special artist or event that wasn't performing elsewhere in the state.

Spectrum Center has speakers on the stage for performers so that if you are within range of the speakers, which I assume is at the floor level, you may be able to hear the words and the music.

Those of us in the second level who are above the speakers are destined to an evening of reverberation and hearing as if through a wall. We spent a fair amount on tickets to Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers. I'm sure they are wonderful artists, but tickets should not be sold on the second tier and above. You will not be able to hear the lyrics, the solo performances by the artists and you'll have an evening of bass beats that drown out everything else. There are a lot of other venues in town that support a better listening experience, but Spectrum is not one of them. Save your money, stay at home and listen to your Spotify playlist on your speakers and you'll have a more enjoyable evening.

That Spectrum Center sells tickets in spaces that are auditorially unacceptable, says to me that they place ticket sales over customer experience. Again, Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers are not at fault. I'm sure they're great singer songwriters.....we were excited to get to hear them. But I will not return to Spectrum Center for music. It's like listening to your neighbors having a party where all you can hear is the bass beat and none of the words.

Went to this venue to see Genesis show 11/20. Sat in section 116, row N, seats 1 & 2. This section has its own little bar area. We went to bar and got two liquor drinks and one beer before the start of the show. Two options for liquor drinks, deluxe which is a single and luxury which is a double. Ordered two singles and received two singles and a beer. Later on in the show decided to get one more drink, asked for a single. I saw the bartender pour a double so when I went back to my seat I checked my credit card to check my charges. I was charged for a double. Upon reviewing this charge I realized I was overcharged for my first transaction, I was charged for two doubles and the beer, my first charge should have been about $36+20% tip and I was charged $67. Second transaction should have been $14 for single and tip but was charged $26. I brought this to the bartenders attention and he "texted the manager". I waited for a few and said, how long is this going to be, I am missing my show. The bartender literally started throwing cash on the bar saying how much do I owe you. He knew he got caught! I emailed the venue and have yet to hear back. I suggest if you visit this venue and buy liquor drinks, you are checking the charges. They do not show you charges, only the tip option, no receipt. They have some shady bartenders. I hope to hear back from the venue to see how they will handle this issue and will update my review. If you were at this show, check your credit card!

I called several times, because every time I try to pay my bill with my credit card or bank card Spectrum Center payment system will not let me pay, so I spoken to Marcy 1st and she tried to help, and when she wasn't able, she gave me the next level, so I spoke to Michelle, and she was not able to help, but both of them was very nice and professional. I called back and reach someone name Susan, and she had the same trouble too. she said to me that that I keep pay with a check account, I told her that I shouldn't have to keep using the a check account when I am using the card from that account. Susan said what is the checking account number, I gave her and I said to her, that I know that you are not charging me the five for that payment, she said you know if a agent do it that you will be paying five dollars, I said why did you do it and didn't tell me that you was going to charge me, I said that I was told that I will not get charge. Susan start being very un-profession and rude, so I ask to speak to a manager and she had me on hold for awhile so she can tell Tim the supervise her untrue version of the story. Tim apologize and went to tell me about the five dollars fee, and to let me know that Marcy gave me a five courtesy fee wave around 11:29pm and that I will see it on the next bill, and they can just give one five dollars fee wave within 12 months. I let Tim know that I was still not satisfied how I was treated by Susan.

Worst possible experience I could have imagined. I put down a $200 deposit two months prior to the schedule release to from what I was told secure my seats for the royal box section for me and my son for the warriors game. When the tickets became available they were already completely sold out as if they had no availability information. At this point I was told I could purchase nosebleeds at best and that I could not get my money back but only apply the money towards other seats to a different game which is a complete scam. They completely misrepresented the sale and my 6 year old son hasn’t stopped talking about this game since back in June and now I’m left picking up the pieces of this mess and still having not received feedback or my deposit.

I’ve attended concerts here before but always in the lower level. I made the mistake of buying upper level seats for the NCAA basketball tournament and wow. I have never been so freaked out getting up or down stairs before. These seats feel like they’re at a 45 degree angle and there are not continuous hand rails to hold onto. I’m surprised older people or drunk people haven’t fallen to their deaths from these crazy sections. Absolutely did not expect attending a basketball game to feel this uncomfortable especially for the high ticket and concession prices. Never again. If you are prone to height anxieties do NOT sit in the 200 sections of this arena.

I went to a concert at this venue in November 2023. The performer was AWESOME, the venue was not great. Mainly it was a disaster to try and get into the venue and go through security. I am talking nearly an hour in an unorganized crowd trying to filter into a few doors. No metal racks or people trying to get the crowd into lines. It was just a mess.

Additionally, it was really hard to find info on their bag policy online. It was buried in an odd spot on an FAQ page and it didn't even have a bag header. I saw a lot of women in front of me having to empty out their bags in front of me and leave them behind.

They also have a policy where they will no longer sell bottles, they only will pour things into cups. This would not be a problem if the seats had cup holders. As it was, I had several cups knocked over behind me, which all trickled down to my feet.

The concourse area was nice and there were plenty of bathrooms and food vendors.

I have been to a number of arenas and this was definitely one I will avoid in the future if at all possible.

Had a bad experience/unfortunate incident which is too long winded to type here...long story short, a representative contacted me to apologize for the treatment I received yet didn't do anything to remedy the situation, so I guess really not THAT sorry. The conversation accomplished nothing except to waste my breath and get me upset again. Get your act together Spectrum Center. Will not be returning nor do I recommend this venue.

We attended the Kendrick Lamar concert at the Spectrum Center, and it was amazing; and the venue was a great environment for this show. We walked there from our hotel and had no trouble getting inside, locating our seats, etc. The security handled the crowd very well, inside and outside. The downtown location is very convenient and easy to get to.

The facility is well maintained, we felt safe being there. We're looking forward to our next concert there.
