- Caitlin H4 contributionsA real treat for any racing fan!I felt like a kid in a candy store surrounded by all the iconic cars and legendary drivers. The interactive exhibits make you feel like you're part of the action. If you're into high-speed thrills and a bit of racing history, this place is a must-visitVisited March 2023Travelled soloWritten 15 November 2023
- Suzan BLos Alamitos, California32 contributionsGreat place even for non racing fansSo many interactive displays, that even a non-racing fan like me has a great time. Recommend taking the package that includes the driving simulation ($36), you’ll want to do it a few times to improve your score. I have a whole new appreciation for the drivers and crew after visiting the museum.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 November 2023
- AbigailKingsport, Tennessee17 contributionsAwesome building + cool experiencesGreat for Nascar fans of any age!! Have lots of artifacts on display besides the actual HOF, plus interactive experiences. The iRacing simulator was especially fun. Not a full-fledged museum, in fact it was deceptively large in our opinion, but still worth a visit.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 January 2024
- heatonflabMarple, United Kingdom25 contributionsWorth visiting even for non-NASCAR fans. This was great. We were 4 guys from England with no particular interest in motor racing and with no knowledge of NASCAR, our only motor experience being Formula 1. We left having had an enjoyable 3 hours and feeling like we would want to visit a NASCAR race on our next visit to the US. I guess that must mean ‘job well done’. The exhibits were really well done. A mixture of the cars, the people, the organisation and the history. We found some of NASCAR’s history being linked to moonshine smuggling amusing.Visited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 13 January 2024
- Marcia EPittsburgh, Pennsylvania9 contributionsTake a peak into history, you won't regretWhat an experience! We went with our 2 kids, whom are in their 20's, all but 1 of us are Nascar fans & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the other enjoyed the museum as well. To see some of the trophies and artifacts up close is near to overwhelming but respectful since there's many many factors that contribute to a driver/race team, etc...for not only a race but to the sport. We're grateful to all persons who donated/loaned and shared SO much info, details and personal driver/crew chief/track memorabilia, we could never see some of that without personally knowing the persons. One of the kids truly enjoyed doing the iracing, thank you for having an experience he'll treasure for a very long time.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 February 2024
- JDA60Middle Sackville, Canada746 contributionsZoom into the Hall of FameThe NASCAR hall of fame is worth a visit even if you are not into car racing. It’s a great place to take kids as there is lots to see and do. You can do a simulator or try your hand at being in a pit crew. Give yourself a couple of hours to see all of the exhibits.Visited March 2024Travelled on businessWritten 9 March 2024
- MarentRome, Italy201 contributionsMy husband loved it!Get there early.. Very busy with school group the day we visited. My husband loved the simulator experience and would have spent the day in there except the school group got in line. Lots of track memorabilia, interesting bits about lots of drivers. Cool how each racetrack surface differs from each other..Fun for racing fans..Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 April 2024
- debbiecarcioneSt. Petersburg, Florida187 contributionsFun with hubsI was pleasantly surprised. Went for him and really enjoyed myself. If you love or like NASCAR, this place is great! We really enjoyed the simulator. After getting the hang of it, I came in 3rd out of 13. Yay, me! Wish we had more time, but it was a pit stop on the way to the airport.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 May 2024
- Roseann_FColonia, New Jersey163 contributionsEnjoyed the visit. We are not huge NASCAR fans, but since we don't expect to visit the area again, we thought we would visit. Casual fans like us can view the exhibits in about 2 hours, but for the more diehard fans, I would think it would take a lot longer. Everything was well identified as to who/what it was. We did not do any of the "extras" like the simulator.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 July 2024
- Heath WagnerEvansville, Indiana5,986 contributionsFun for NASCAR fans and non fans alike. My family of six were good sports as I an a die hard nascar fan, and they are not, BUT they all had a really good time. Lots of exhibits and memorabilia to enjoy and you just can’t beat all of the historical knowledge of the sport. The interactive activities are fun, and the enjoy the tour at your pace is appreciated. A must see for Bascar fans and something to be enjoyed by those that aren’t as crazy about the sport as I am.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 28 July 2024

Parking across the road ($2) Many people to assist with registration and guiding. Paid for the top package that included self guided tour (head phones and mobile device) was great to learn more about what i was interested in. Found the Movie was good, no crowds. Bes part were the interactive areas. Pit stop experience where my wife kicked my but- jack-tire change-fuel. loved the driving simulators super, went on over and over.

We came here on a Friday, and quite easily spent 6 hours very enjoyably. First let me say that out of 7 people, only two of us are avid NASCAR fans. We also had two children in tow. We opted for the $50 package, and it was worth every penny for a full day of entertainment.
The staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly and interesting, and helped enormously with getting the most out of things like the simulators and the pit stop. Everything, and I mean everything, was wheelchair accessible. There was so much to look at, and so many interactive exhibits, that none of us got bored at any point. There were lots of places (including a huge theatre) where you could sit down and take a break, and watch a quick movie on things like the history of the sport.
Lunch was included in the package, which meant we didn’t need to spend more money or leave the museum… with two cars and seven people to wrangle, we were very grateful for this! I had a pop, a bag of chips, and a really excellent pulled pork sandwich that kept us full until dinner.
Also included in the ticket were very nicely done pictures, and $10 per ticket off the souvenir shop. We blew through that pretty quickly!!
The best part of the day was the iracing simulators, which we never had to wait more than 5 minutes to use. We spent probably 2-3 hours on these, which are set up to race on whichever track is next (in our case, we were able to race Martinsville). Every one of our group, from 9 years old to 40, had a blast with these things.
I will also mention how attentive the staff were. They were all so wonderful, and you can tell how much they enjoy being there. One of the managers was out walking around, and stopped to offer to take a photo of my husband and I.
If you’re in Charlotte, even if you aren’t a big NASCAR fan, don’t miss this place. $50 for a full day’s entertainment was totally worth it, and ended up being the cheapest day of our entire vacation (minus the many, many souvenirs my husband bought!). Thanks for a wonderful day!

We took my in-laws to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and they LOVED it! It was our second time, but it was a blast watching my father-in-law (a life long "car guy") talk to the museum hosts and remember the good old days. If you go, fork over the money and drive in the simulator. It's worth it!!

The NASCAR Hall of Fame, cool place. Who knew? 🚘 The history of NASCAR started in 1947. Be sure to “drive” the race track, pretty realistic simulator (which does cost extra). Some neat important cars on display, along with uniforms and trophy’s. Danica Patrick holds multiple female driver records. There is a life-sized Lightning from Disney•Pixar's "Cars" just outside the entrance to the Hall of Honor. A general admission ticket costs $25.00 and is discounted for seniors over 65 and kids under 12.

No one in my group considers themselves Nascar Fans, some enjoy watching racing from time to time, others never. The consensus was that you can't go to Charlotte and not visit this museum. Let me tell you, we all enjoyed it a lot and learned a lot. The museum is well organized and easy to follow. We really appreciated how the cars were displayed. Some were on a track, and as you wound around the track/museum, the track banks like a race track does and really lets you see what some of those curves are like. We just did the general admission tickets, passing up on bundling it with all the virtual rides you want for another $10, and a yearbook with your activities for even more. We designed a car, looked at all the exhibits and spent about 1 1/2 hours there. Well worth the time and money.

I am not a NASCAR fan, but I really enjoyed this museum. I know some of the big names, but that's about it. there wer lots of cars to look at -and so much information on Nascar. There were quite a few interactive things to do. You can put on headphones and you get to pretend like your telecasting the event.. The words are on the screen and you just speak as if you are telling the fans the race details. there was a simulated drive course where you felt like you were driving in the race. that was fun - even tho I'm not the best driver. You could also pretend you were part of the pit crew and act like you were changing a tire and filling the gas tank-as you are being timed. It was a very fun afternoon.

The NASCAR Hall of Fame is so fun and interactive and is a great way to learn about the sport. We spent 3 hours there but could have stayed much longer. The staff were so kind and we enjoyed our day. I advise you buy tickets online in advance, to skip the ticket line on the day you visit. I was incredibly impressed with the accessibility of the place. As a disability advocate, I am always looking at the accessibility of vacation spots for wheelchair users or others needing adapted accessibility. Even small walk through areas in the museum (haulers, broadcast stations etc.) were equipped with wheelchair lifts so user of all abilities could experience each aspect of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Well done to this museum for serving ALL visitors, I recommend everyone visit.

I am not a fan of nascar. This place is a museum of racing from its onset in the moonshine days! There is plenty to do for young or old. It requires walking on 3 floors of fun. Parking is in a garage behind the hall. Ticket prices vary on what you want to do there! Senior discount! Fun for the whole family!

Has anyone visited the. A scar hall of Fame during the Christmas holidays? We have heard it was very nice but any other comments regarding this exhibit would be appreciated. This will be our first time visiting Charlotte. Really looking forward to getting a taste of Charlotte during the holidays

I didn't see any dogs there. I would think that if it's a service dog, you shouldn't have any trouble. I don't know about pets. But you could probably phone them, or contact them through their website and get information.

I don't know, but I would call them. 704-654-4400 or
888-902-6463. they are open 10-6 every day of the week.

We spent 4 hours there with a break for lunch. Did more looking than reading so it could have taken a lot longer. Loved every minute. Staff was wonderful and added to the fun!
