You've got to check out Lake Norman. It is very beautiful and surrounded by trails, places to chill and eat, read a book amidst the trees and nature, AND you can take paddleboard and kayaking group tours at dusk! Great staff can give you more details on the best hiking trails and sites to see along the way. But the... More

We have spent half a day to go around the area. Very quite place and equipped with tables and grill Unfortunately the day was not the best for a visit (after a night snow) but the view is just great

We have enjoyed LKN for years. The best way to enjoy for non property owners would be the public parks. My favorite is Jetton Park. Another park on Nantz road is fun also. Nantz road park now has a swimming access, and a dog park avaiable.

Yucky clay bottom. It's a man-made lake, that's why. Natural lakes have a sandy bottom. There's one park at Jetton that allows you to swim. It's not that great. My advice is go to Queens Landing and either rent a jetski or boat and go out for the day.

Our daughter lives out here and she goes here often. It was in March so not alot of people which is ok. We hiked around and saw 2 blue herons. I am sure it is very beautiful in the Summer and Fall.
