We were concerned that this place might be a little too dull for our 7-year old grandson, but he seemed to enjoy every minute of it. We spent a long time in the water conservation gallery before our show and practically had to drag him...More

The Morehead Planetarium is a great place for families to stop in to get away from the heat of the late summer. They have several educational exhibits that are enlightening to children and adults alike.

We were under the impression that it was a science museum with a planetarium, but it's really just a planetarium with a gallery about water conservation. My kids played for a little while in the gallery, but it was disappointing.

They used to be amazing and had new shows all the time, and we would come often. Now they just have a few shows that they play. Most aren't too interesting, and I wish they had more that were actually about the stars.

After 13 years of residence in Chapel Hill, my wife and I finally got around to visiting the Planetarium about which we've heard so many positive comments. Reclining in a very comfortable chair, viewing the universe overhead and listening to an accomplished speaker explain how...More

We arrived at about 11:45 on Wednesday and missed the last planetarium show of the day (11:30). The rest of the museum is free to explore. Thank goodness! There is nothing to see. The kids were not impressed. We probably spent less than 15 minutes...More
