The Botanical Garden is about a mile and a half from our home by car, and we sometimes visit when we want to be near nature. We love this place because there is something about walking through nature, and taking in the tranquil scenes, that...More

Excellent Botanical Garden close to the UNC Chapel Hill campus. The formal collections are generally good but proximity to Fordham Blvd detracts somewhat from the experience (separated by a wooden sound wall). The real attraction are the creek side wooded trails, including some with decent...More

Excellent place to visit with family and friends to see beautiful native wildflowers of the southeast. Stay up on the wonderful educational programs offered through out the year for adults and children.

Beautiful garden with lot of native plants. Make sure you grab a map so you don't miss any hidden spots and don't forget the bug spray.

We enjoyed our visit tremendously and learned about a program (one of many) that brings nature to sick, hospitalized children, The Wonder Connection. The people who work there are incredibly nice and obviously found their true vocation

Lots of beautiful flowers - many of them were marked, benches and places where you could sit down to rest in the sun or relax in the shadow- informative maps and good paths - a good place to spend some time!

Great trails and many local plants to see. Lovely little bird sighting area. Many of the plants were marked which is always nice. Free to park and enter. Nice little gift shop too.

A "natural" botanic garden. It is planned, yet it looks remarkably raw and natural. Interesting plants and items are around every turn. Spend some time communing with nature. They have a great carnivorous plant area.
