Walking in, I was skeptical about gem mining in the middle of a town. I looked around the shop and found some nice/neat things. The store was well organized and clean (for dealing in dirt). My wife took care of the bucket purchase and we...More

The guy at the store was super helpful and the kids found lots of gems! Lots of polished and set gems and other types of rocks. Close to the pisgah forest and lots of good restaurants and shops.

Purchased the “Mother Load” $30 bucket, and got a good number of large stones. Peacock Cooper, Amethyst, Jasper, Garnet and a good sized Ruby. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fun for the family right on Main Street.

Staff was attentive and pleasant. We were there just before lunch and were lucky there were only a few others there. By the time we left it was elbow-to-elbow. Fortunately, our bucket was full of goodies and my nephew had a good time.
