We come by and play every time we visit from Charlotte. The course is very different from typical putt putt courses. Uphill, downhill, and challenging so bring the luck and skill cause you’ll need it! This time we brought the kids and their significant others so we came with a party of 6. We laughed and had a blast. Honestly the best visit we’ve had yet! Thanks for the hospitality, we will be back!

Sunrise Mountain Golf is located near Boone, NC. We enjoy mini golf, so we decided to try it. The golf course is located on the side of a mountain, so some of the holes are tricky because they start uphill. They offer free games if you get a hole-in-one on certain holes. There is a restaurant at this location so you can get something to eat. We didn't try the restaurant, but we enjoyed the golf course.

We had a blast, and became a bit competitive, that we returned on day 2 for a 2nd round. The course is not easiest and be prepared for a few holes that need some TLC, but it adds to the experience. My kids are 13 and 15, so it was a great time together. The location being on the side of the mountain was cozy.

Name has changed to Sunrise Mountain Mini Golf.
We love this place! Our family has been going here for something like 20 years. Met the original owners once, nice older couple. The husband designed and built the course himself. They sold it a few years back but new owners seem to be keeping up the tradition.
This is the most challenging course we have ever played and every time we go back I swear that this is the time I will be par - but it never happens. Still loads of fun despite the challenging nature so don't be afraid to give it a try.
Also, not sure where the second photo is from (with the house-like structure) but it is not from this location.

My husband and two children went to Magic Mountain to play mini golf. They weren't open yet so we decided to check out the arcade. What a disappointment! More games/machines were broken than not. I am not kidding when I say that we were only able to play 3 games. The owner should be embarrassed and ashamed to call that an arcade. What a waste. The mini golf wasn't bad however. It was challenging especially for our two young children. They seemed to have fun anyway.

My wife and I played there Monday, June 24, 2019 with our grandson. The course was littered with vegetation, leaves, coniferous needles, and other unidentified things. It did not appear as though any effort had been put into making the course clean by blowing the course off. The water at the ponds was ugly and there was not any flowing waterfall as stated in advertising. The water in the ponds was full of algae and green and looked very stagnant. The side boards on the course are mostly rock and uneven and some have gaps, allowing the ball to go off the course when you try to bank a shot.

One of our favorite stops on our yearly vacations to Blowing Rock is Magic Mountain Mini Golf and Arcade in Boone. Our grandchildren are now 8 and 11 and look forward to a few rounds. The course is situated on the side of a high hill covered in trees which make it the only shaded mini golf I know. Though we always go in July, it is never uncomfortably hot. We have won several free games by getting hole-in-ones at the right time. It is always very exciting.

We played this course after a Sunday brunch at the Sunrise Grill. It was a challenging course with a lot of holes going up hill, as the course is on the side of a hill. Our kids (9 and 7) had no more trouble than us adults with the more challenging holes. The holes are interesting and all different. Free games for holes-in-one on #3 and #18, and our 7 year old got a hole-in-one on #3.
We play mini golf where ever we go to visit, and I definitely recommend this one.

18 hole mini golf course with lots of uphill and downhill pathways. Second game discounted 50%. Course needs attention - many places where bumper areas missing and errant balls need to be chased down the hill; landscaping not well cared for; water hazards all drained.

We have been to BOONE NC twice in the last 2 years and have eaten here at least 5 times. Mind you, we have only gone to breakfast but afterwards we played mini golf and went about our day. the servers are pleasant, atmosphere is welcoming, the value is great and in a good location.

Looking at Trip Advisor and saw some photos of the mini-course and a few holes that had the carpet all ripped up. Has the course been fixed up for play?
