A visit to Horn of the West and the Hickory Ridge Living History Museum along with the Daniel Boone gardens make for an enjoyable stop in Boone, NC. And if you go on Saturday's there is the adjacent Farmers Marketplace set up in the perimeter of the parking lot. Be sure to take time to explore the entire venue and... More

I have been to this play for four years now, and I can say that it is great and gets better every year. Tickets, snacks, and gifts are very reasonably priced. The play looks back into the 18th century when the American Revolution was taking place. It is my favorite play for a lot of reasons and u do HIGHLY... More

We had the buffet meal catered by Daniel Boone Inn. Good Food. The program was great with solid acting. The only problem I has was that I couldn't understand a lot of the dialogue. I could hear the actors but the words ran together. I was left to discern what was said by the reaction of the other actors.

We enjoyed the outdoor drama but it was hard to hear the actors. But we were able to get the gist of the plot. We also ordered the meal from Dan'l Boone Inn. It was great!

We drove 2 hours to attend on Thurs July 30, 2015 (with about a week left in the performance season). It was a beautiful evening and venue...the history involved and story line were interesting (although young children wouldn't get it). But the performance itself was mixed. Mostly due to difficulty in hearing the delivery of lines. Sometimes is was technical,... More

We discovered this show on a local news program and decided to make a quick trip up to Boone to check it out. We really enjoyed it. There is a little area to walk around with period structures and "townspeople" to tell you about their lives. They have a little gift shop and concession stand. In the mountains, the cool... More

This is an outdoor theater with some small attractions on the premises but the show is the attraction and it was great. We are not from the area so in addition to the show, we really liked being able to enjoy the outdoors with no humidity, comfortable temps and NO BUGS. The acting was first rate and the show itself... Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We sat midway down on row L. We were able to hear almost every word, just a few muffled phrases. The seats are metal folding chairs. Some may think they are hard and uncomfortable, however, I was very pleased to have a chair back to lean back on. They have seat cushions for rent (.50) or... More
