Right off the blue ridge in blowing rock. Stunning view. Worth the drive. There is a hiking trail right at the blowing rock overlook pull off. The kids enjoyed the view but I’m sure is adults enjoyed it more. Breathtaking

Stopped with husband and 2 kids on a cold, rainy day. It was nice to walk around for a bit and then get warm in the gift shop before venturing out again.

We visited this place as we'd heard about the great views with which we were not disappointed, but what I didn't expect was the range of unusual shops in the Main Street. There is also a good range of bars and restaurants, and there is...More

I was amazed at the views and mystery of the rock. Yes, a leaf does blow back toward you after throwing it over the edge. A great wonder of nature and fun to explore.

The Blowing Rock, in southern Watauga County, proudly claims the distinction of being the first outdoor attraction in the Blue Ridge. The attraction has been called “The Crown of the Blue Ridge” with some justification. Compact in size, The Blowing Rock features short walking trails,...More

This is an awesome place to visit. The drive there is beautiful, but you have a spectacular view here. And, if you drop something light, it goes up, not down.
