The whole experience was terrible... We went last Saturday - so weekend - holiday weekend - and maybe beginning of season. We stood in line _just_ to get in - for almost two hours... Silly us - we had a stroller and went in the ramp side (for strollers and wheelchairs). Unfortunately, it seems that this led to a register... More

We took our 3 year old and 7 year old to Tweetsie, and they had a blast going on all the rides! However, they did not enjoy the ride on the coal powered steam engine train -- the train stopped occasionally for some live entertainment, which included some cowboy/Indian fights. Our girls have not really been exposed to violence, so... More

This was our third visit here. We came twice in 2015 and decided to buy season passes for this year. The people here are so friendly and accommodating. This isn't your typical theme park with so many people you barley have space to walk. Tweetsie Railroad is a smaller more intimate theme park which is slow paced and easy to... More

Thank you for your review and detailed comments Cape_May_Family. We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly theme park with the historical significance of the steam locomotive. We are located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, so your observation is correct, while the park is handicapped accessible, there are a lot of hills! More

Took my family to Tweetsie Railroad for the first time not knowing what to expect. Was a little worried that it may have been a tourist trap, or to babyish for my 13 year old son, or even my 8 year old girl. Although the admission wasn't as expensive as most theme parks, it seemed high at the moment, not... More

We took our two kids 7 and 18 months for opening weekend. I fondly remember Tweetsie from being a kid and had fun rediscovering the park as an adult with my children. Park is probably best suited for the 12 and under crowd. My 7 year old loved the train and was star-struck by Coyote, the train robbing cowboy, who... More

Not much has changed since the 80s. We had a good time, but blew through the entire park in about three hours.

This was our very first time taking our son to somewhere our parents took us as a young children. He LOVED every minute we spent at Tweetsie and we loved how small the park was and how the crowds didn't seem to overwhelme the park. We were able to ride rides, catch shows, enjoy lunch and of course catch the... More

We loved the train ride with the outlaws robbing the train. That was a humorous skit. Pay close attention to what's being said because that's where the comedy comes in. There is just enough rides and shows to make a good day of it without missing anything. I recommend keeping track of show times & plan which area you're in... More
