Was a nice setup with a lot of neat rocks to look at. We went with the biggest bucket so my wife and 2 kids could pan through that. All-in-all was fine. Then we got to the part where we took the rocks inside and...More

They do a great job entertaining the kids. They make sure the kids find gems and then take the time to show and teach what gems were found. they have a nice rock store. They have an indoor trough for those rainy or cold days.

My husband and I had a blast sifting through our buckets and finding beautiful gem stones. We sat at the water trough, scooped the dirt and sediment into our sifter and were instantly metamorphosed from adults scooping dirt to 5 year olds discovering beautiful stones...More

One of my sons is an amateur rock and gem hound and he wanted a more genuine experience (not seeded buckets of dirt). At Docs, the buckets of dirt are not seeded and the employees are helpful and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed talking with Zack,...More

A nice place for the family to go panning for gemstones. This company donates a lot of money to charity, so I was okay with the cost of their buckets.

It varies, depending on whether you want the stone just smoothed (cheaper) or cut with facets (more expensive). I had a sapphire facet cut & they did a FABULOUS job.

depends on what you want. The biggest bucket (for about $60) is enough for 2-3 adults to do and will take about 30-45 minutes even with 2-3 adults. If it's an adult plus kids, then the largest bucket will be your best bet... More
