We were hoping for a nice riverfront walk route but this isn't that. Is clean, nice playscape for kids, had dock with seating (river was low during our stay), and boat ramp nearby.

Playground area is very nice and different. Nice to walk down to the river, has a couple of swings on the pier as well. Haven't fished there yet but plan to. Kids enjoy visiting for the playground. Not a lot of parking.

Great new park on the Catawba River. Nice playground, boat ramp, and fishing pier. Kayak heaven! Even has a bike lane from downtown Belmont.

This park is a great hidden secret. Great playground for little ones and you can go out on the dock and look at the river!

Great riverfront park. We have been here several times walking our dog. There are new bathrooms, shelters, a playground, a small amphitheater, walking trails, and even a kayak launch area on the fishing pier. The one downside is the limited parking. It appears they are still working on the other end of the park (near Dale's superette) so hopefully they can put more parking places there.

While this is the newest park in Belmont it is certainly worth a visit bring something to eat and sit under one of the covered picnic areas or find a place throughout the park to just sit and eat it. Bring a rod and go fish it is a river front parkhow. Belmont was blessed to get this property and build this very nice park on it. If you have a boat bring it there is an updated boat launch. There is a play area with swings and slides and other things for the kids to play on. Or just take a walk on the stroller or wheelchair friendly sidewalk that meanders throughout the park. There are clean restrooms at this park as well. While there isn't any concessions that I know of there is a store ( Dale's ) within walking distance of the park. Well worth the visit !

Located right on the river, this park provides several large covered picnic areas and bathrooms with a water fountain. The play area is fenced in with a few places for adults to sit. The play equipment is unique and children love playing on it.

This is Belmont's Park and Recreation Dept latest addition. Open last Summer in either June or July and a nice oasis next to the upper reaches of Lake Wylie.

I found it while I was exploring the area. It's between NC Hwy 7 and Lake Wylie just South of US Hwy 74, Wilkinson Blvd.

Is size, not huge but a very large fenced in play area with swings, slides etc for young children. Very secure and well maintained. There are several picnic shelters around the the park including one next to the Play Area. Restroom facilities are also available.

On the other side of the parking lot are steps down to an Observatory Platform over Lake Wylie. Very nice but the day I was there, we were in a drought and it was largely surrounded with mud flats. Will be beautiful when the Lake level comes back up.

Nice place to just bring a picnic lunch, bring the kids etc for a nice afternoon.
