Great track!

Played on a nearly perfect day with low 80s temp and 5-10 mph wind swirling about. First time for us at Emerald Isle beach and we were looking for a little better venue than the couple of courses closer to us. Found course online and thought it looked worth the extra drive. Positives: Really like this type of course design... More

The recent rains destroyed most of the sand traps, but the fairways are in great shape and prices very reasonable. The new clubhouse is great and once the bar opens will be better. Nice driving range and friendly people. Play it!

The people running the course were very nice and helpful. We did not previously book a tee time and they got us on no problem. Course was good...especially for the price, but not great. We were just looking for a place to play on vacation, and it looked much better than the one down the road. When we went (early... More

My younger brother wanted to treat me to a course he's found that only locals know about and I needed to play it since I was visiting for the week (I used to live in the area). The course could've charged us double and I wouldn't have blinked because we got premium value at a "discounted" rate. It was $38... More

Development golf courses are struggling these days since 2008. This has fared well. It is a challenging course with great links style vistas. It is pleasing to the eye. The greens, rough, and fairways are in great shape although the greens are a bit slow (stimp around 8). The greenside bunkers were in fair shape. The only negative was the... More

Played this course in November 2014, when the temp was near freezing due to the polar vortex. The good thing was that there was only one other group ahead of us and no one behind us. We had to wait for the frost to clear so we hung out in the club house. We only stayed about 10 minutes because... More

If you're in the area, this should be a must play course. Great design with plenty of sand and water. When we played the course it was in very good shape. Challenging but fair with 5 sets of tees. We were really happy we chose to play North River.

If you don't know this course, you could lose a lot of golf balls - there is water all over the course - someplaces that you can't see until it's too late. The course must have been built prior to 2008 when the real estate bubble had not yet burst, and it appears the owners intended the course to be... More

I haven't played all the courses within an hour's drive of emerald isle, but this one is definitely worth the drive! After the rain we had last night, the course was in great shape. The greens were in excellent condition but the bunkers need work but who hits them there? :)

This development is only a few years old & ran into financial difficulties. Understand that it is now under new ownership/management. It is a great & well laid out golf course with tons of potential to match the tons of water which appears on most holes !...The greens were in very good shape, the Tees were fine ... fairways were...
